Two months ago, JMS said in an interview on his DC work, without any mention of Thor by the interviewer, that:

I mean, if you look at Thor objectively, the book had very little action, and in some issues the title character wasn't even there. But it worked, and it worked gangbusters.

Of course, now that the Siege of Asgard Big Crossover Event is looming before me, I have to do some serious and hard thinking about the future.

And just throwing bodies at the book is going to turn off as many if not more readers than the delays in shipping
Today, Rich Johnson reported on his website that JMS will be leaving Thor.

Care to comment on what JMS' "hard thinking" and it's relation to this news?

Seeing How Canada day is this Wednsday, can Canadian fans expect anything special? Like some free digital comics starring Canadian Characters?

If not I understand, but It would be a good way to show that Marvel cares about its fans up North.

    Joe:

    1. Why are the Ultimatum Requiem: Spider-Man issues not being released in the last Ultimate Spider-Man TPB? I can understand putting all the Requiem issues together for one collection, but why not collect them with their title, as well? Why put the logical endpoint of the series in another collection?

    2. What can we expect to see from Noh-Varr in the future? Is there anything big planned at all?

    Hey Joe,

I'm one of the few but supportive fans of the Spider-Girl series by Tom DeFalco and Ron Frenz. I know that the primary home for The Spectacular Spider-Girl is over at Marvel Digital Comics Unlimited and that Mayday's secondary home is in the pages of Amazing Spider-Man Family but the Amazing Spider-Man Family title has been noticeably missing from the August and September solicits.

My questions are what is the status of Amazing Spider-Man Family and will it still be the title to read The Spectacular Spider-Girl in print?

I'm asking in benefit of the Spider-Girl fans who are following the title in printed format.

    Joe

Why has fandom turned on Jeph Loeb? this is something that ive began to notice over the past couple of years and it seems to have gotten worse over the past year, it's starting to reach...dare I say "Liefeldian" levels of disdain towards his work. You've been in this business a while now, tell us why Jeph Loeb remains one of Marvel's (and the industries) top writers.

Not to sound too overly negative but is there any chance of BKV relaunching Ultimate X-men? It's been a while since the Ultimate Universe has had a good writer.

    Default question for Joe Quesada

    Dear Joe,
is there any chance to see the Hobgoblin in Dark Reign? It would be great to see him in that storyline.I think he is not use a his full potential he should be with the Zodiac gang.

    1) I'm a Bishop fan and absolutely hating this current direction that he's in. Please tell me it's almost over and that he'll be redeemed. I'd hate to have the character pushed for off the edge that the only direction for him is to die. This current direction is a slap to the face of Bishop fans.

    2) Will we ever get the rest of Christopher Priest's Black Panther run collected?

    Joe,

I'm interested in digital preservation issues. I recently read a report from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences called "Digital Dilemma" about problems facing movie studios and indie filmmakers in saving and maintaining their born-digital content and other digital materials, and it got me thinking about the comic book industry. As I understand it, almost everything that reaches you guys from artists and writers is transmitted digitally. I'm sure you've got an archive of printed comics, but I'm wondering what Marvel does, if anything, to preserve the digital files involved with the creation of comic books these days?

    Thanks.

Why was it decided to create another mega event around Thor? Can't we have some comics that we can enjoy on their own merit without these marketing ploys?

    Hello Mr. Quesada,

In the released solicitations for September, a number of solicits were listed as being revealed on 6/22, a date that has come and gone. Could you say what the revised timeline for releasing that information is?
