I have no interest in Daredevil, but I might start buying Daredevil when my favorite Marvel writer Andy Diggle takes over. The awesome Roberto DeLatorre art won't hurt either.
Is there a Dark Reign DD yet? If not who would make a good one? Taskmaster Mister X Hobgoblin Constrictor.
Sigh. This book just hasn't done it for me since Bendis left. Shame, too, because Brubaker had some moments early on that had me really excited (such as Frank Castle turning himself in).
This just in: Chris Sprouse has pulled out of Orson Scott Card.
While I love the book, I understand the people who dont like it because Murdock is constantly tortured. He's been on a downward spiral for years now, and if the preview art is true(Murdock seems to have become the Hand's leader), buts a pretty big departure for his character.
It would be nice if a writer came onto the book with the intention of doing something other than out-Miller Miller (or, at this point, out-Miller Bendis or Brubaker trying to out Miller-Miller) but I wouldn't hold my breath.
I am interested to see what Nocenti does for the anniversary issue. I think her run was one of the best in the series' history. Her stories built on the foundation of the character of Murdock that Miller left behind at the end of Born Again, without her trying to write stories like Frank Miller.
I'm one of those. I loved Bendis' run, and I think it's one of my favorite runs (along with Bryan Vaughan's Runaways and Brubaker's Cap) ever, but with Brubaker, after the jail arc, it just felt repetetive, like he really made an effort to return to the normal status quo and then made things which have been done before.
Although this looks good, especially if Murdock's actually the Hand's leader. I might check this out.
Pull List:
DCnU: Animal Man, Swamp Thing, Wonder Woman, Batman: Incorporated
Image: Saga, Mind The Gap
Trades: Unwritten, Criminal, Morning Glories, Saucer Country
I look forward to an interwiew with Andy Diggle, where HOPEFULLY, he'll actually tell us what he's going to do.
I think that lately Marvel has been really taking a lot of characters apart - stripping them down. I see it with Daredevil and I see it with Iron Man.
I'm really hoping to see something a bit more optimistic soon.
LOL @ Marvel removing that fifth page of the DD #501. Way to spoil the big twist ending, House of Ideas![]()
What´s gonna happen to Black Tarantula? He´s a cool character (I still prefer Spiderman/Spider Girl version). He would be a great Kingpin/Hand Leader.
Gemini no Saga.Kicking ass since 1986. :evilangry
... And you were watching HE-MAN![]()
