To the writer of the article:
I'm not the greatest defender of political correctness, but . . . aren't such statements as:
"You have no doubt heard of the “Dynamic Duo” but what about the titillating trio?" and
"In this interview, Dini shares news on what makes the three such perfect bedmates . . ."
a little too much? I think so, at least.
Anyway, about the series, and speaking of lineups and guest stars, I'd love to see Thorn.
What's wrong with these sentences exactly?
....I think it may just be you.
My only beef with this interview is that you don't get anything really. More and more interviews are coming out that neither tease or illuminate about a title. I couldn't really tell any excitement on part of the writer.
The "bedmates" line was too much, and I'm ashamed to say it got past me in the editing stage. I know the intention was to be more playful than sexual, but it's obviously a problematic phrase. Apologies for the awkwardness, it's been corrected.
This is strange.
The covers scream "Sex, Sex, Sex!" and then such a little playful sentence is supposed to be problematic?
I thought the preview was great. I wasn't really interested at all until I saw the variant cover and the preview. This looks like it could be a funny light-hearted book. AN here I was trying to NOT get sucked into the Batverse. Now I'm in for Batman & Robin, Detective Comics, Gotham City Sirens, Batgirl, and maybe Red Robin and Streets... So not fair.![]()
Wonderful art. Lively, Energetic. And oh so cute.

I believe the word they were going for there should've been "bedfellows", which most know has roots in "desperate time" at inns, where you'd be roomed with god knows who, and there was only one bed. I suppose "Bedmates" is an acceptable variant of "Bedfellows", however within the context of beds, mates, and a trio of hot women, you have to be specific here or else it quickly slips into sexual innuendo.
That being said, I could care less about a website's innuendo, the comic itself hasn't crossed any sort of line that hasn't already been crossed by spandex clad comic vixens.
I just wish it'd had been good innuendo and not silly, accidental mis-wording innuendo. As if the three of them are all going to be sleeping in Edward Nygma's bed together, having pillow fights.
Please tell me the JG Jones cover is the variant.
If it's the newstand I probably won't get it.
Did not think this was a worthy question of a new thread, but could someone give me a brief on Catwoman up to this comic?
I stopped reading DC at the end of her series so I am looking to fill the gap from the end of her comic to where this begins. I read that she had a heart problem? Now there is a new Batman? (dropped Batman during Morrisons run)
Out of the loop to say the least.
Thanks in advance
Which series was announced first? This one or Marvel Divas? I'm curious to know which one will eventually sell better.
Marvel Divas looks okay I guess, but I only know of Black Cat, and the cover kind of raises expectations till you see the interior art.
Sirens on the other hand has 1 big name villain/anti-hero and 2 farily well known characters, very nice art on the cover AND the interiors, and Paul Dini.
I liked these characters together ever since Harley through a slumber party for all the villains in HQ #3.
