Vertigo's Sweet Tooth looks like it could be great. Sad theres no Northlanders solicited for September.

Why does the thought of Batman & Dial H for Hero in Brave & Bold make me feel giddy?

Chaykin's Blood and Iron! Yay! One of the absolute best comic of the 80s.

It's a weird time for me and comic books. I won't know for sure until Marvel solicits tomorrow, but I think I might be getting more DC stuff than Marvel in September.

    DC so far...

    Wednesday Comics #9
    Wednesday Comics #10
    Wednesday Comics #11
    Wednesday Comics #12
    Batman: Widening Gyre #2
    Batman and Robin #4
    Detective Comics #857
    Adventure Comics #2
Superman/Batman #64 (Joe Casey and Rafael Albuquerque? Sold!)
    Booster Gold #24
    Doom Patrol #2
    Justice Society of America #31
    Secret Six #13
Blackhawk: Blood and Iron TPB (80's Chaykin, fuck yes)
Showcase Presents: House of Secrets Vol. 2
Sweet Tooth #1 (another $1 #1 from Vertigo. Easy purchase.)
Heavy Liquid TPB new edition (Paul Pope rules, and now I can finally get this at a decent price)
Hellblazer #259 (Simon Bisley interiors. Awesome.)
The Unwritten #5 (My girlfriend's favorite comic)

Eight of those are single issues at $4, but four of those are Wednesday Comics, and the other four are 40 pages.

I crossed the line into more DC earlier this year, for the first time in 20 years of collecting. And the trend doesn't look like it's going to reverse anytime soon.

Having said that, not too many DC books either, but my Marvel pull is becoming altogether anorexic.

Has DC ever simultaneously published a hardcover and a paperback collection, as they are doing with Wonder Woman: Rise of the Olympian in this batch of solicitations - rather than making us who want to wait for the paperback wait forever?

It's the trades that stand out this month: Chaykin's Blackhawk (can Twilight be upcoming?), more ONeill Question, another volume of both Scalped and Jonah Hex. Looking forward to Sweet Tooth, too.
