awesome! Thanks, Grant :)
awesome! Thanks, Grant :)
No one responds to street art anymore.
People tend to respond to things like loaded guns in their faces.
That and celebrity spokesmodels.
WOW...
Except for Spawn and Savage Dragon, I have no idea who you guys are talking about. lol
I will certainly be picking this up though!
Thanks GRANT, this actually looks promising, for the art anyway.
The Official Image United Blog.
You can see the cover for issue 2. Laid out by Erik Larsen (you can tell based on electro silhouete man). There's a bunch of cool stuff on there like the whole process.
I swear Grant! is on the Image payroll with all of this information that he keeps finding. I am curious to see how often they keep this updated.
Ah! I knew the art was from a cover and not the comic itself. It'll be solicited with a bunch of covers, then it'll take months to come out. I knew I was getting excited over nothing.. .

I can see your are excited about this event. According to a post by Jim Valentino on his forum they are not setting or date on this until they are well into the process.
JimmyV: We're NOT revealing who the villain is (the last page of issue 1 will shock you--guaranteed). Nor are we setting an exact date (we do not want Marvel and DC counter-programming against us). So, it CAN'T be late because we ain't setting the date till it's DONE.
Yeah, obviously, once they've completed all 4 covers, it'll be solicited. J Scott Campbell did the same song and dance when he launched WildSiderz. Then he up and disapeared once it was late and went missing in action. They're all the same.
HA HA - you are my new favorite poster. Rarely do you get to talk to somebody who talks in such sweeping generalizations... except for all of those DC people (they are all the same). You are making me laugh that is for sure.
I am pretty sure that there are 6 issues and not 4 - so let's hope if they are going to screw the entire world over they at least solict all of the covers first. I also was unaware that J. Scott Campbell was a part of this or that his WILDSTORM projects had any impact on what is going on at IMAGE. I guess I am just easily confused here - all of us Image fans are all the same you know

Those cover solicits are what sells the books you know (via distributers like Diamond). They have to get done first.
From what I have seen, the process is already well underway, which seems promising. And with the new-and-improved psycho version of Robert Kirkman keeping the artists in-line, I don't doubt this will get done.
Besides, it's not as if ANY comic gets put out a month after it's announced, these things take time even without the creator-drawn-characters gimmick that's going on here.
VALIANT, Saga, Manhattan Projects, Locke & Key, Hawkeye, Young Avengers.

Except that they're NOT "all the same."
A series like this takes a great deal of coordination and preparation. We're starting now--and the plan is to release it next summer. I know of few books coming out where any work has so much as started--much less has multiple covers and some interior art completed.
