Ummmmm... would somebody please tell the variant cover artist for Agents of Atlas that Saturday Night Fever came out in 1977?

I'm not sure how a movie poster image from the 70's constitutes being used within an 80's/90's themed cover event...

The AoA and Nova ones are an improvement compared to the other ones at least since I can actually tell that they're referencing Saturday Night Fever and Dirty Dancing.

It says 1970s Variant on the AoA cover. So I guess they're touching upon several decades.
I know Kevin Nichols through a guy that knows a gal. Small world!

If nihilism didn't take some delight in destruction one might suspect nihilists were an unnaturally morbid sort.

How can you not tell what the others are referencing? The only one I have trouble with is the She-Hulk cover.

Maybe it's from the sequel to Saturday Night Fever. Sunday morning regrets.

I don't know if its because I don't remember their music videos with great detail or what but outside of the zombie one, the art on the War Machine, X-Men, and She-Hulk covers just didn't identify the material well enough for me.

Didn't spot that on the cover at first...good catch.

That said, they're still calling them all 80's and 90's variants... they better fix that soon before they give us an Elvis cover...

War Machine: The girls give it away in a heartbeat with the anarchy symbols on their shirts. I remember the video well, so...

    X-Men: Its V(R)ogue!

Zombie cover: It's the Thriller dance, the way they lift their arms like that to the side.

Ah, well. Makes sense to me.

They are, in fact, calling them "Decade Variants." The CBR article is just spotlighting the 80s and 90s variants, which the Agents of Atlas issue is not.

Ahhhhhh..... I see now. When they first started showing these variants last week, I had gotten the impression they were only covering the 80's and 90's.

I gotta quit speed-reading these articles.

    Isnt' Nova a Flashdance reference?

    I like them.

Still don't get the She-Hulk one.

Is that a coffee cup stain in the top left corner?

So that means Red Hulk issues now will have like 17 variants?
