So would these be considered Marvels A-list females:

Space is disease and danger wrapped in silence and darkness.
Well, shoot- i may have to pick this up, if brother Voodoo's involved..
You know, I love the characters, I love the art, and Roberto is a really good writer but I have to wonder who exactly is Marvel's target audience here.
The premise of the "Sex in the city" with superheroes I suppose is for more of the female demographic but that's assuming that the book will thrive on those types of fans. I also think that putting these female characters into such a role is kind of lame considering that there could be better uses for them outside of this.
But given that its a limited series its probably not that big of a deal and maybe it'll be fun but this just seems like a very odd book to release, especially during the rougher economic climate.
Campbell's cover to issue 1 isn't his best work -- looks kinda phoned in.
The artwork to issue 2 is a noticeable improvement. This looks like it could be a fun read -- all of the characters are interesting -- and I like that there will be some character development instead of just slam bang action.
I think I will get this now, It does seem/sound horrible any more plus it has few characters I like & always wanted to read about.
Emma Frost is a celebrity?
There are two Catwomans. Where's Tigra? They should have just made it all catgirls.
Everything RAS has done prior has been incredible, so I am all over this!
(I was actually astonished that he was 'bumped' from the regular FF book in favor of doing '4', since his was the freshest and most spot-on depiction I had read in many years. But, I figure in retrospect he wouldn't have gotten away with
half of his stories in the 'regular' book, so...)
And BIG LOVE rocks too!
I always find it funny when people question everything about a book ahead of time. Wasn't Robinson on STARMAN enough, instead of worrying that the character was brand new and the title would also feature a 3rd tier character with about 4 prior appearances (David)? There are lots of projects whose premises might
not have the perceived chops on paper, but if you know the writer or artist does quality work (which, in this case, he does) why quibble?
I always say that ANY characters can be interesting in the right hands. Just look to Dan Slott, Alan Moore, John Ostrander, and others for proof.
When i first saw Campbell's cover I thought Marvel had gone all chauvinist, but after reading this inteview and seeing some preview (and spoiling) art on Tom Brevoorts blog I realise I should have known better.
Marvel has a tradition of spotlighting its female charaters in a good way (to my mind come Dazzler, Spider-Woman, Ms. Marvel and She-Hulk series, all published for a considerable span of time, from 25 to 50 issues, and respectful to the characters and gender), and whereas they don't have any Wonder Woman analogue (really, they don't) they respect their heroines more than DC (IMHO).
I'm really looking forward to this limited series, my only regret is that it's only four issues long, and being a TPB collector as I am, this is gonna be a thin one.

I wasn't crazy about his "Nightcrawler," but RAS' Spider-Man and Fantastic Four were both two of the best iterations in years, and received no acclaim (for the life of me I cannot figure out WHY), so I would read this series if it were called "Marvel Interns" about about failed superheroes velobinding documents in a basement somewhere. Seriously. RAS = Two thumbs up.
"Strong Female Characters" who each have a story focusing on their relationships with men?
... This doesn't sound promising. The real question is whether it will pass the Bechdel test.
Does it have:
1. At least two women who (at some point)...
2. Talk to each other about...
3. Something that isn't a man?
It's a pretty interesting test.

That first cover is awful. And the author does a really bad job of defending it.
I'll probably pick this up in trade though, the art looks pretty good.
personally, i think the mu needs more of these type's of stories, the shit between the fights. the stories you get from indies, certain manga, etc but in the mu.
