When do you think Marvel will pull the plug on this BND stuff?
I miss seeing him and MJ as a wedded couple, with Pete teaching, and just battling villains with an established past.

Hopefully never.
Fingers crossed!

Some would say this is it.
Very soon.

I put some ancient mojo magic on this. Almost cost me my soul... If it wasnt for Qual'thok and his merry band of bandits, I would'nt have prevailed against Ka and her soul scepter of doom.
Then the goddamn Locnar came along for some reason...

Maybe when Joe Q leaves as EiC. I wouldn't bet on any sooner.

I wonder if the next editor of chief comes in and he happened to be the marriage fan and restore it, I wonder if he would be hated by the those who like the BND as much as Joe was by marriage fans.
Yeah sorry, hate is too much of a strong word even how about angry. I guess.
I'm all for the marriage restore and the character development, just letting you know but I try to keep my mouth shut most of the matter because I don't want to piss off anyone or start augment.
There is no need for a marriage to tell good spidey stories. I think that reverting back to the previous status quo and doing as if OMD had not happenned would be even more lame than OMD. I mean, OMD wasn't a good idea, but let's not make any more of a mess of the continuity and just deal with this new status quo.
Come on never.......
1) Pete and Mj was played outI miss seeing him and MJ as a wedded couple, with Pete teaching, and just battling villains with an established past.
2) Pete should have never been a teacher.... 9-5 in a classroom gets in the way of being spider-man from 9-5...... Stupid concept.
3) Hes doing fine with new characters that have there past being established.... Plus they are using old enemies from time to time.
I think spidey is back to normal and i hope they dont go back to what you suggest as i find it abnormal.

As Mets so eloquently said, the definition of normal varies. To me, ASM #546 represented a resounding return to form and the book has very steadily gotten better with almost every issue since. To me, the book felt lost and off-kilter thoughout much (though not all) of JMS' run and was marked by poor writing during other periods (Mackie, O'Neill). Right now, I feel it has "recentered" Peter as Spidey, breathed new life into the old cast, introduced new supporting cast and villains and showcased very good writers and artists. So.....I'm digging it!!![]()

I don't think the book centers on Peter at all now. It seems to center on his supporting cast.
You might as well call the book Harry Osborn guest starring Peter Parker.

Yeah, well said. If you go back to all of what are considered to be the classic runs on this title (Lee, Stern, DeMatteis), they all had a healthy emphasis on the supporting cast. And why not? It is/was one of the best in comics.....one more reason, I thought the Mackie and JMS runs did not work for me: they either killed off or ignored every supporting cast member.
