"Claremont returns to his legendary run with X-Men Forever! The shockwaves after the death of Magneto are still reverberating all over the world. Attempting to heal the rift between man and mutant kind, Professor Xavier volunteers his X-Men to go on a mission to capture Magneto's sole remaining Acolyte, Fabien Cortez! But with Nick Fury -- and the entire world -- watching over their shoulders, the stakes have never been higher for Cyclops, Jean Grey, Wolverine, Nightcrawler, Gambit, Rogue, Kitty Pryde, Storm, Beast, and Professor X."

I have to say, that's actually a pretty awesome preview. Multiple characters -- and they all actually do something.

I can't believe it. Claremont might actually start writing decent X-Men stories again with this. Kudos on the preview, at least!

Writing ticks still haven't cleared up. Storm being out of character is strongly telegraphed, though.

Is there a reason why whenever the name Kitty Pryde is spoken, there's a pause before they go, "& LOCKHEED!"

Seems like they want us to like the dragon a little too much. Or that we've forgotten he's there.

I do despise Lockheed, and noticed that. Que sera sera. I was happy to see Storm, like, doing something. It was so unbelievable I was distracted.

Jean needs to take that psychic microphone off her head if she expects anyone to take her seriously.

I like how Kitty calls Lockheed "Dragon."

It's just an alias. And Lebeau is corny. Remy The Handsome. Ugh.

LOL. Damn, that was actually readable. SHOCKED.

I reckon Cortez will snap Scott's neck in the next panel, either way, he wont make it past the first arc. If he does, i'll be shocked, again.

I can't remember, was the love triangle this..heavy back then? If i remember right, it had faded out by the time of X-MEN 1-3.

the only reason it faded was b/c xavier split jean and wolverine up on seperate teams (corners) before they could start mating at the dinner table.

Wish Jean's costume wasn't miscolored in some pages. But other than that, and being reminded 3 times in 9 pages that Fabien took down Magneto, a very exciting beginning!!!

I like how Kurt and Kitty worked together to transport the team out of the plane. Liked Gambit's surprise at being grabbed by Kurt. Glad "Picard" is just as alias, as CC stated Gambit uses a different name on each passport (during the recent interview).

Storm probably planted a bomb on the plane. You can tell she's up to something devious. Question is, is this Storm "possessed" or is she a clone? She acted in character from Uncanny 265 through X-Men 3. So when did the clone switch or possession take place?
