I'm a huge JMS fan but there's really NOTHING that sounds exciting about "Red Circle". I'll have to pass.

No interest in this either. At all. But what I want to know is how's JMS going to produce 4 issues for DC in August when it took him 8 months to produce the last 4 issues of Thor.

Maybe because Didio didn't screw him over as much as Quesadia.

    Wasn't that the artist?

I'll still pass on the Red Circle characters. I can't wait for his Brave & the Bold run. Sounds great!

Really looking forward to the Red Circle stories. Sounds interesting so far, and hopefully will be a nice change of pace from the regular DCU offerings.

If Red Circle is anything like Marvel's The Twelve, it's the kind of thing that may not sound that interesting on the surface but is a heckuva good read when you actually get it in your hands. JMS has earned the benefit of the doubt from me on stuff like this.

I'm quite surprised by the Red Circle. I thought for sure that it was going to be a retro Silver Age book, like a Silver Age version of the Twelve, but he seems to be going in an entire other direction.

I thought that the Red Circle purchase was just a way of justifying the Milestone purchase, but this actually looks very interesting.

How would the Red Circle mini justify the Milestone purchase ?

Does DC outright OWN the Red Circle and Milestone characters now or are they just leasing them ? I'm hoping they outright own them like they bought the Quality, Fawcett and Charlton characters.

I passed on the !mpact imprint DC tried in the 90's though I've heard a lot of fans read and enjoyed them.

My exposure to the 80's versions was extremely limited. I've liked JMS ever since Babylon 5 and his Spidey and have followed everything he's done since then. B & B sounds really cool and I'm very pumped for his Red Circle mini.

I'm still hacked they wouldn't let him do the Lex Luthor/Swamp Thing story. But I'll get over it.

Am I missing something important here?? What happened to The Twelve? I thought that was delayed because JMS was so busy with other "Hollywood" projects that were more important than comics - and now this is coming out and not a word about the series I'm actually waiting for. Frustrating.

No, in an interview JMS admitted he was reason behind the delays (scriptwriting commitments took precidence). Last year he said he was going to get this series back on track. And behold the results.
