Lots of great stuff, but that's nothing new for Marvel as of late.

It's just branding. Calling it "Punisher: Slightly Different And Set In The '20s" doesn't have a lot of punch.

    MARVEL SPOTLIGHT: SUMMER EVENTS
    Written by JOHN RHETT THOMAS
It's the summer, which means it's time to hit the beach with some summer reading! And that means adding a little SPOTLIGHT to your fun in the sand and surf! This month, we'll check in on all the events that are making Summer '09 a season to remember: The original Human Torch is back, and he isn't the only one returning; there's a new Fantastic Four
    ....Did I miss something!?!?

When did the Human Torch return? Because now I look at it, he's plastered all over those solicits in lots of 70s anniversary stuff etc. And he was recently pretty prominently brought back in Cap, but was just re-buried. When exactly did he return?

Also, the thing with the FF- yeahbuwhaaa? Again, did I miss this?

Noticed that the Models Inc. mini that was originally solicited in Feb. is now coming out in August. They tweaked the preview copy abit by dropping a certain red head's name.

February - "Fashion Week is always a hectic time for models, and this year is no exception. Between escaped wolves, robbery attempts, and overly friendly police officers, Mary Jane Watson, Patsy Walker, Jill Jerold, Chili Storm and Millicent (Millie the Model)
Collins are testing the limits of their endurance. But when a brilliant young set designer is found murdered with three bullet holes in his back, and Millie proves to be the prime suspect, the models are forced to play detective in order to save one of their own!"

The one just solicited - "Fashion Week is always a hectic time for models, and this year is no exception. Between escaped wolves, robbery attempts, and overly friendly police officers, Toni Turner, Patsy Walker, Jill Jerold, Chili Storm and Millicent (Millie the Model) Collins are testing the limits of their endurance. But when a brilliant young set designer is found murdered with three bullet holes in his back, and Millie proves to be the prime suspect, the models are forced to play detective in order to save one of their own!"

Mary Jane has been removed and Toni Turner is in her place.

Now we know why it was delayed.

You know, looking through those solicits, I am really surprised that DC aren't kicking Marvel's asses in the charts. Half of those comics seem to be minis and one shots and the vast majority of them seem to be badly over-priced. I mean, I'm so glad to have Ultimate Spidey back but is this relaunch just an excuse to hike up the price. How much is Powers going to cost when it returns, I wonder. $5? $6?

I am more of a DC guy I admit but these solicits are doing absolutely nothing to change that.

smallest month for me in a while:

    uncanny x-men 514
    dark avengers 8
    x-men: legacy 227
    nova 28
    x-force 18
    cable 17
    x-factor 47

another skip month for astonishing x-men and the finale to old man logan, no surprises.
    and i'm counting 1, counting 2, counting 3...
