Joy. Possibly the most boring character Mike Carey writes. And this is including his Charles.
I'm REALLY having a hard time getting hyped about the future of Legacy.
And the art for Gambit: Origins looks alright, kind of Bianchi-ish.
Oh my god, Canon! *masturbates furiously*

I have faith in Carey...but not so much in Gambit.
Its a maybe.

Looking forward to the Gambit Origins one-shot. There's a lot of material in his early life that hasn't been touched on. Him making the ill-fated deal with sinister, for example, is one of the most important moments in the character's history.
Carey's been gradually improving over the last couple years, so I'm hoping he hits this one out of the park in terms of characterization. I'm excited to hear he's writing it as more of a noir book than a super-hero one, which is how Gambit shines best, in my opinion.
"What can change the nature of a man?"
So it really is spoilers:end of spoilers. Okay.
Xavier in the Dark X-Men
*does a happy dance*As Carey hinted, Professor X's involvement in “X-Men: Legacy” is coming to an end, but the title and Carey's involvement with it are not
Is Rogue on the cover to Legacy #226?
All of which is why I don't like the current mainstream X-Men at all. I hope they get back to normal eventually.“I think Gambit has a very rich back story and he’s a fun character because his morality is different than the rest of the X-Men,” Carey continued. “Having said that, obviously the X-Men themselves have become darker in recent years and you could argue that their morality has caught up with Gambit, but he’s always stood out on the team as somebody who is more pragmatic, harder edged, and more willing to think the unthinkable. I like that. I find it an interesting quality to play with.”
Also, in various ways but especially re: his treatment of Danger, Xavier is still "broken" as a character. No idea how he can be fixed without a massive retcon.
Sigh.
(All, of course, in my own opinion.)

Rogue Xavier and Gambit, such a frustratingly boring trio when used all together.Rogue kicked ass on Carey's X-Men team, and Gambit is pretty cool when doing his own thing. Rogue-Gambit on the other hand i can very happily do without.
I wish Carey could write an x-story with the characters HE wants, not some editorially-mandated second-stringers.
McKenstry those with the most opinions often have the fewest facts.
Barack Obama There's not a liberal America and a conservative America - there's the United States of America.
Christopher Yost Cyclops = Awesome and Right, while Xavier = USELESS JERK-O! Viva la Cyclops!
Facts are the enemy of truth.
You gonna get us out of here. With that tight-ass Wolverine outfit on. Now, let's make it happen, asshole
YOST: Okay, it's not Jean Grey. Nobody likes her
I love Mike Carey, he actually replies to you on facebook and uses your name!
These X-Men Origins comics are a complete waste of time.
I'll buy them, of course. And Marvel knows it.
But they're still a complete waste of time.
I've resisted thus far. But I love Mike Carey, and I love David Yardin. And I used to like Gambit quite a bit. And if this bit is all about Gambit's past and the way he used to be... then I think I'll have to bite!
I'm not sure if I'll pick up Legacy after this current arc ends. I dropped it a while ago because I wasnt feeling it (not a huge Xavier fan. Dont dislike him, but I find him kinda boring). But now with Rogue and Gambit, and probably a few others, maybe I'll pick it up again. It sounds similar to the X-Factor format (one solo lead, and other supporting members) and with Mike Carey writing it, you know its going to be good.
