Do we have any information on the Valentine's issue of Hawkeye (issue 9)? (Besides the solicits?)

Since #9 is not coming out until March –if there's any Kate-related interpersonal drama in it beyond, it could be spoiled by YA.

—But I don't think there will be Kate-drama, since that issue already features Mockingbird, Spider-Woman, and Black Widow... Adding in drama with Kate would just be so much drama.
—Although she'll definitely be in it, since she is the only person on the cover. (I don't think that the "I [heart] Hawkeye" thing is actual foreshadowing beyond "Valentines issue".)

Please confine all Bast discussion to the Black Panther thread.

You can browse through it on their website for free. The one thing that stuck with me is that he found a teenage gay couple that's (to paraphrase) all cuddly, sweet and soulmatey refreshing and worth keeping.

Its definitely enough to get your nerd-appetite plenty wet, I'd say.

I've been meaning to ask whether anyone knows if the runic notes are supposed to actually mean anything. 'Cause elder futhark is one of my favorite scripts and the letter combinations used are sadly nonsensical.

One or more of the guide books, be that an OHotMU or two or some event-specific one(s). Edit: Emma also says so in CC #7 and I think it may be mentioned once or twice before.

But yeah, the twins are pretty much biologically hers. The giant clue to this? Billy and Tommy are identical twins. If it was just a soul thing, then why would they look alike?
Which raises the question why they needed confirmation from Wanda at all, since they could simply have done a test. I'm sure Tony 'I kept Thor's DNA around so I could make a killer cyborg based on him' Stark had some hair or blood from Wanda hidden away.
Yep. Really bugs me when people imply otherwise (IIRC Heinberg included). They were obviously magically implanted in other women's uteri back in time. Which is of course still silly comic book science/magic, but that doesn't change that all the evidence logically points to it.

It's not like we've seen that many scenes of Billy with his parents to judge this by.
People are just basing this on Billy's desire to find out if Wanda is his 'real' mother. Which given the situation is pretty friggin' understandable.
If people ever actually tried to put themselves in his place, they'd be the same way.
From what little we've seen of Billy interacting with his parents, they seem like a perfectly happy family.

But I tire of all this Billy talk, let's speak on someone else.

Is Kate using Noh Varr after getting her heart broken in the pages of Hawkeye?

And really who do you think, outside of Loki, Miss America Chavez will blow up at first verbally or physically?
She's going to go bonkers at Kate.

And Kate's not using Noh-Varr. She has things for guys older than her and guys with white hair. He fits both criteria.
Hey, that tiger is flying a spaceship.

Yes. Someone (in this very thread, I believe) posted translations of the text. It's nothing earth shattering, but it was a nice touch.

Really? On what basis, I wonder ... most likely a runic keyboard configuration whose assigned letters don't match up with their Latin equivalents even where applicable since it's naught but hardly pronounceable, nonsensical consonant clusters with nary a vowel to be found.

Hmm... off to search the thread for "translation" and similar terms, I am.
Edit: Well, that didn't yield anything in this thread or even this forum. Oh well, *shrugs*.
Edit2: tumblr to the rescue! =D I hate lazy cyphering of foreign scripts with a passion regardless. :/

Edit 3: To clarify: I don't expect them to write more than single words in foreign languages (and frankly don't want them to either since 99 % of the time it ends up cringeworthy anyway), but it's perfectly possible to write English in runic script if you are so inclined and only takes a modicum of effort to research and employ.
On a related note: If they feel they have to stick German words in English dialogs of German characters, fine, but could they please stop using German articles? Not only does it sound especially stilted either way, but since they don't decline them they make the supposedly German characters seem anything but fluent in the German language. (Same goes for other languages, but the Romanic ones have less declension to begin with and you don't really see it happen much in comics with any other tongues, especially those that have declension and/or articles.)

Teddy is half-Kree and his default physical appearance is Kree which means he probably has a wiener as the comics say that Kree resemble humans quite closely

Mind you, some humans born with wieners still identify as female but sexual orientation and gender identity/expression are not the same. Teddy can be gay without identifying as a female. And while pornos love to do the "I just got dumped so I'm sleeping with a new gender" movie it doesn't really work that way.

That's cool. I agree with him. It's nice to have one, somewhat long standing, happy gay male couple in comics.

Obisidan/Damon are gone from DC so they just "turned" Alan Scott to make up for it. I don't count Northstar either, his coupling just seemed to happen for ratings Northstar has been gay for years but suddenly gets a guy and married him on the cover?
I find Billy and Teddy to be more legitimate.

I find it easy to believe this Billy and Tommy are like a soul-chimera and fused and with the originals who escaped reality being altered.
So it's more like Billy has two mommies.

Much as I currently loathe about 84% of the Wolverine and the X-Men cast, I gotta say I'm very interested to see this group of Young Avengers interact with the students of the Jean Grey Institute (as stated in the gay times interview with Gillen).

I'm, of course, hoping for more of a "We're awesome. Your school is garbage. The headmaster tried to kill Billy. Get out ASAP! Quentin's hair looks idiotic." feel to it.
Okay, so they don't have to be mean, exactly, but it really wouldn't hurt to speak ill of that Canadian lunatic troll. Just sayin. Here's hoping MAC gives him a good super-kick to the groin.

AGREED!!! I want to see them talking to Rockslide and Anole; and Pixie. Oh GOD, I want MAC to voice an opinion on Pixie. Mwwwhahaha! And yeah... Wolverine, probably the most violent Marvel "hero", with a death-count possibly surpassing ALL Marvel heroes put together... being in-charge of a school... ugh. WORST. DECISION. EVER!!!

Plus he killed his bisexual son, while imagining "if onlys" where Daken was straight. And then put the word "mongrel" on his tombstone... god, I hate Wolverine!!!
