Cassandra "Batgirl" Cain Appreciation Thread

This thread is to celebrate the glorious character that is Cassandra Cain, the one true Batgirl.

Batman and the Oracle gifted Cassie with the Batgirl costume after she gained their respect by saving the life of Commissioner Gordon. Even after Batman learned about her sordid past, he continued to value and respect her.

From birth, Cassie was trained to be an assassin by her father. She was not taught to read or write; instead, reading body language was her only language. She was able to read people's movements and predict what they were going to do. Upon taking the mantle of Batgirl, she was trained further by Batman, Oracle, Black Canary, and Lady Shiva.

Cassandra Cain has a sister over in Marvel. X-23.

They are both quiet damaged girls, born and bred to be the ultimate assassin. They both unnerve the people around them. They are highly skilled warriors, but are incredibly vulnerable at an emotional level and can thereby be manipulated.

I love Cass, but at this point I honestly don't care if she remains Batgirl. Hell, it might actually be better for her, like when Dick Grayson became Nightwing. I just hope that DC doesn't kill her off, or sideline her into obscurity. My current hope is that Spoilers becomes Batgirl and gets the book. Cass switches over to another identity, and sticks around as a major costar. Some of the best issues of Cass's series were her team ups with Steph, and I'd like to see that dynamic again.
