Just more confirmation that any money DC sees from me will be for the Vertigo line of books, and that'll mostly be due to the older series I'm invested in.

Well look at this way. April last year looked bleak for Cass. Editorial shot down her appearing in Birds. Fans were pissed. Next month Cass shows up in Batman Inc #6. Then again you could be quite right. .... WHY DO I STILL HAVE THIS BLUE RING ON?!

Hello everyone! I haven't posted in this thread before, but I'm just getting to know Cass. A friend is a huge fan, though, and she's organized a fan campaign on Tumblr for the character and we're hoping to spread it on Twitter and other forums. Here's the gist of it:

Though DC's reasoning seems to be more than just business, proving again that she can sell just takes that excuse away from them. Just wanted to give it a signal boost here on CBR.

I can definitely get behind this. Cass is still one of my favorites in the DC Universe.

Cass, my personal favorite Batgirl. I'd love to see her in a New 52 series titled Black Bat, chronicling her heroic adventures in Asia as part of Bruce's Batman Incorporated team. But I wouldn't have her on the actual Batman Incorportaed title, but in her own book, much like Batwing is part of Batman Inc and has his own title.

And that's really sad since Cass is one of the few minority characters that aren't defined by their ethnicity.

They speak both English and Cantonese. However, they do most of their business with China. A lot of the criminal organizations that operate there are going to be Chinese.

It was a British colony for a very long time (150 odd years I think) until it was 'handed back' to China in 1997. But the population is like 90% ethnic Chinese. I think both 'Chinese' and English are the official languages.

Sounds like GAME OVER to me. Maybe David Cain is training her now and we'll see her in a few years..
