...Jimmy and I follow each other's Tweets these days(*), and I point blank asked him who Amanda was using for the real-life model for Power Girl. His response?

"Amanda's using her own face, and that's all. The rest is all made up."

Yawn all this is going to be is some big cartoon like version of a blow up Barbie doll/ alternate version of Supergirl with a messed up origin and that she lives with old people.


While her only competition in all of comics is Spider-girl over at Marvel, for alternate reality worlds, and Witchblade over at Top Cow, for most revealing clothing superheroine.

I'm hoping that the whole Earth-2 thing will be ... well, an ongoing plot point, at least. I mean, she's from another universe, and that origin has been restored now, which to me is a lot of her appeal.

Honestly? I thought the Ultra-Humanite was the perfect villain for her because the Earth-2 version was one of Kal-L-Superman's biggest archenemies, and this version is still more like the Earth-2 one than, say, Luthor or such.

lol Sadly, I worry you may be right.

However, despite my original plans to tradewait, I'll not be one of those fans. I'm gonna support my favorite heroine and hope it doesnt get canceled anytime soon

Even though I'm not a huge Power Girl fan, that Palmiotti and Gray are writing it makes the title a worthy pick-up for me. That Conner is the one drawing it is simply an added bonus.
