Yes, the film is truly horrendous, but Fox will never sue everyone. They can't even find the person who leaked it. Why would they waste money trying to prosecute 100,000 or so people who downloaded the film? Even the RIAA isn't prosecuting people for music downloads anymore, they've switched to cease and desist letters because prosecuting cost too much money.

Its gonna be on how it does this weekend that matters I think. If there will be more X-Films ahead or not . If it can do the $100 million number you'll see Gambit , Deadpool and maybe X-Men #4.

Were already gonna get Spiderman #4 and #5 soon ...

Good, I hope it does well, if for no other reason than a Wade (the Deadpool is broken beyond repair) movie.

This is the style an X-Men movie should be done in, far from perfect but they treated minor cast members well, had a solid plot, and lots of good moments, lots of good stuff to take away from the movie even if it isn't the gold standard they should aspire to.

The plot needed some reworking, but it isn't something I can put my finger on, it wasn't perfect but it was a very solid work they studio should be proud of.

It's safe to say it wont be doing any DK numbers.

It'll probally do about 250mil Domestically just like the other X-men films.
That, or you set the bar a bit too high when DK came out. This movie is enjoyable. I'm glad its doing well too.

Perhaps those who watched the leaked version still went to the theater to support the movie.

I saw it with my wife. My wife dose not read comics and has never ever read a single wolverine comic and she loved it. Me i have read Wolverine for years i have read many many Wolverine stories, so for me it was OK not bad really it was a good time but i thought the real miss came in the Film making it self. The Direction was not very good, the editing was awful just bad bad. the script could have used some punching up. Overall i would give it 3 stars out of 5. I hope the Next Wolverine movie is done better and i hope they get a better director. But overall i liked it.

The first weekend says nothing about the film's quality or how much the public liked it, just about the expectations. The performance in the following weeks is the real indicator.

I thought it was a good movie and worth matinee money to go watch. I went in expecting a good movie (not a great movie) and got a good movie. I also didnt expect the movie to adhere to the comic book, which helps.

My nitpicking includes editing and the use of Deadpool in the end of the flick. *spoilers will abound if you continue to read.*

I am not a fan of a superhero movie when they have to slam bang in an origins into the script along with all the other things a movie needs which includes a villains origin. This usually eats up time and its usually a rush job to get to the directors 'visionary plot'. However this entire movie is an origin flick, but the set up from wolvie mutating, to wolvie deciding he has to kill Sabertooth is rushed.

In quick flashes you get; Logan working as a lumberjack, Logan fooling around with his love interest, Love interest teaching kids, Logan cutting a tree, Logan fooling around with his love interest, Logan kissing her goodbye to go to work.... ect ect. This happens often in the film. It felt like a slap job.

Finally Deadpool, its not that they used him as the big challenge or that his powers are nothing like the actual deadpool (wheres the cancer!?), its the Katannas that protrude from his arms that made me roll my eyes. The blades are as long as his leg and somehow this blade was supposed to fit in his arm and allow him mobility. I could of understood shorter blades or holding admantium swords (which would be far more lethal than wrist swords due to flexibility and Torque.) but Wolvie swords, ugh.

Thats it, I give it 4 out of 5 stars, far far better film than the atrocity that was Ghost Rider.
