    Default Legalize it

It looks like my friends at NORMAL are getting ready to begin a television ad campaign aimed toward the legalization of marijuana.......

    Legalization: Yes We Can

It really is time change the law, and if the President isn't crazy about the idea, let's hope that someone in Congress is.

    Damn straight.

I understand why Obama said no to legalization, but he didn't have to be a douchebag about it.

Seems unlikely, given the public mood regarding regular cigarettes and second-hand smoke.

    PLEASE legalize.

It could still be regulated like cigarettes.

Not to mention that marijuana smoke is not as closely linked to illnesses.

Jessie Ventura said years ago in an interview that if marijuana was legalized the country would do very well . That they could heavily tax those who enter the country with it illegally and sell it as well.

Drug legalization should be a state issue, IMHO. The Feds should never be raiding medicinal marijuana dispensaries in states were it's legal. At least Obama put a stop to that.

Bring all costs down to the state level and people will see how expensive it is to maintain the war on drugs, which accomplishes absolutely nothing.

    Agreed.

When I was smoking I wanted it legal. It wasn't a moral or "it's no worse than cigarettes" type thing, just completely self-serving shit so I didn't have to watch for cops. Once I quit I wanted it to remain illegal just to piss of stoners. Then I didn't really care one way or the other.

I've been reading about the way shit works in Cali and I have to say if that shit was in Texas there's no way I wouldn't start smoking again. So, now I guess I'm anti-legalization because I lack self-control.

If legalizing it will make the processing of it get rid of the sports socks in the locker stench.

I hope someone shows Congress and Obama last night's FAMILY GUY episode.

    .....then they'll never legalize it.

I'm hoping certain people around here don't vote. Because they're sadly and utterly uninformed.

    Too bad.
