While I'm not buying the Fantastic Four issues these characters are in, I'm getting this series.![]()
If only that were $3. And to think, I greatly enjoyed that preview. See this, Marvel. Your losing a potential buying because your books are too expensive!!
Anyway, the top of the article mentions that the Millars FF and Old Man Logan are connected. Anyone care to elaborate without spoiling?![]()
Someone once told me that time was a predator that stalked us all our lives. I rather believe that time is a companion who goes with us on the journey and reminds us to cherish every moment, because it'll never come again. What we leave behind is not as important as how we've lived. After all, we're only mortal. - Jean-Luc Picard
In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move. - The Guide
My understanding is that both of them take place in the same dystopic alternate future, Old Man Logan about 50 years from now or so and Millar's FF storyline much later, Logan apparently becoming the hooded guy.
Happily, there is no need for me to read either of those to enjoy this series. :)

Millar's FF was awful awful stuff. Old Man Logan was interesting start but atm it's kinda in "When are we going to get to the fireworks factory????" mode. Kinda one of those things I hope is actually going somewhere.
What? This is news to me for all mini or limited series are $4 these days. Have a solit to the second issue or something to prove this'll drop a dollar after issue 1?
So the Logan we see in Old Man Logan turns out to be the Hooded Man? Very cool. I almost feel like the end of Old Man Logan was just spoiled for me.

If the only the first issue is $4, then I'll definitely be picking this up. If all 5 issues are $4, then I'll have to pass. My limit is $3 a book, which is already pushing it. $4 is simply too much for a 32 page comic book. I will not support Marvel idea that fans are willing to pay that extra dollar ad give then more incentive to raise more books' prices.
Oh, sorry about that! But that's my understanding. Honestly, it's the Hooded Man Logan which is the real draw for me to this book.I'm sure Millar is a nice guy but I don't care for Old Man Logan at all; however, since this is an alternate-future Logan by a different writer I am giving it a shot.

(Hopefully he'll get a better costume than that thing he's wearing.)
Oh, you have nothing to be sorry about. This revelation has only gotten me more excited for Old Man Logans conclusion. It'll be interesting to see how or if he makes the transition from a pacifist to the Hooded Man as well and Dr. Bruce Banners step dad. I have string feeling the transition won't be seen, buts a cool little tidmit to be aware of nonetheless.
