Wow, I've never thought about that laundromat scene in 24 in that way, I mean thinking about deep implications of stuff that happens in 24 man that's something to do when you're stoned I guess.

Alan Moore it's definitely one of the better interview subjects of all time. It's just like the interviewer can just sit there and throw random subjects at him and he'll come up with amazing stuff that's a bit wacky at the same time. Always a great read.

    PIE!

Why yes Szzhahsrth my serpent god does enjoy a bit of pie and then in the next installment of the league....

We explain the gravity problem, we’ve worked in the black monolith from “2001,” we worked in The Clangers and the Soup Dragon. We worked them into a semi-coherent-sounding ecosystem as well. We’ve explained how the insect creatures came to be on the moon and how the humanoids came to be on the moon as well, how it is possible to go through airless space in a geese-pulled chariot. That was a toughie, I got to say. I think that we’ve just about covered it comprehensively.
    This is just plain fun.

Moore's going for the ultimate No-Prize.

Now I want him to do a League with religious overtones. Can you imagine what the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen's Heaven and Hell must be like? Hell must be Dante's Inferno mixed with PARADISE LOST and the Screwtape Letters. Heaven must be Dante's Pardisio mixed with PARADISE LOST.

Actually, I wouldn't mind Mark Twains version of Captian Stormfeilds Visit To Heaven mixed in there. Twain wrote a lot of cool science fiction/fantasy short stories...as well as some great Looney Toons style stories.
