Superman looks pretty strange on that World's Finest cover.

Love Morales' art. And forget Identity Crisis, when I think of the man the first thing that goes through my mind is his Hawkman work with Johns. Rags Morales and Joe Bennett are, in my mind, the two best modern artists when it comes to rendering Hawkman, with Dale Eaglesham bringing up third.
Anyway, can't wait to see Morales' pencils in JLA #32. Too bad he won't be sticking around long-term.

...I know I'd go from rages to riches...I know I'd go from nods to nothing
I'd like Rags to do more regular work, or at least 2 arcs in a row instead of single arcs and fill-ins....
IDENTITY CRISIS didn't give him a steady series. Steady work, but I'd love to see it more often than we do now....
if this article is about rags morales, why are 2 of the 3 pictures shown done by ed benes?
I was a very vocal advocate against Identity Crisis. Though my beef was with the story, not the art. Though reading this, I guess the art matched the story. Some of the scenes were awful to look at, even if purposefully so. Yet, that's just the artists doing his job, following the script.
Well, I have to give giant applause for Morales to admitting what he now sees as a mistake in the art. I find it pretty admirable, especially since DC is still whoring out this horrible story. They're using it as part of their post Watchmen push. Funny, since I saw the story as nothing more than a Watchmen wannabe, a pale imitation, one taking the DCU down with it.
Now, I think I may give JLA another shot. I was going to leave when McDuffie did, but this has my interests piqued.

Why does this guy not have a regular gig? On a larger title?
'It's all fun and games until the flying monkeys attack."
Actually, at the mention of Rags Morales, I don't think 'Identity Crisis', I think 'HAWKMAN'. For my money, one of the most superb runs in recent memory.
I'm glad he mentioned Aparo as THE Batman artist.
His Hawkman work is awesome indeed but I guess few people have seen it compared to Identity Crisis (and I don't understand why he beats himself so about it)
Yay for this:
This was my biggest (really only) beef with the art in Identity Crisis. Many of the faces didn't look like said character and some of the characters were downright ugly.Overall, those remain Morales' marching orders with his brief "Justice League of America" run: to improve on his past. "The funny thing is that I feel like I'm going back and fixing things that I did wrong in 'Identity Crisis,'” Morales revealed. “If you recall, back in 'IC,' there was a lot of talk of me using model sheets or having someone in particular in mind [for each character], and for me there are parts of it that failed. The feeling with iconic characters like Superman and Batman is that it's smarter to go with 'character' as opposed to 'who should play this character?' There's a different feel with that."
But this bk more than any made Rags one of the all time great artist,
that said I have to partly agree with you, especially when I think of the recent Supes/Bat story which ran in # 55-56, depending on whoever inks his pencils will depend on the ending result..............unfortunately................. .........

oh and a pic of ben affleck playing a blind matt is enough to make me not take you seriously.....
His face actually looks like Rags himself.
I think he's a pretty talented guy, when I see him in conventions he's always drawing so whenever I talk to artists who do that all convention long I use caution so they won't bite my head off but he's cool. He's one of those artists that are one of the reasons why I say that DC doesn't know how to utilize their talent better. Personally I'd put him on a Teen Titans book or a JLA again since he's one of their middle to top tier artists.
