"So, yeah, I come from my own creator-owned book, ‘Freshmen,’ so I'm not necessarily used to working with corporate-owned characters, but it's going to be a blast."

"The chief question I had when the Titans were put in front of me, which I think they'll be considering long after I'm gone, is this: ‘Why are these guys a team right now?’ Pure nostalgia just won't fuel stories."

"Hey, guys. Just a heads-up, I won't be writing this issue after all. Nothing all that exciting to report here, just some scheduling problems. It's still going to be a Cyborg one-shot, and I'm sure it'll be great."
Well, that sucks. A writer who worries that nostalgia isn't enough to fuel stories would be a welcomed addition at DC to offset the Silver Age fanboys and their outdated crap.

Jim Lee on JLA is a pretty obvious move. Just wonder how long these issues will be delayed before a fill-in artist is called.

i wouldn't worry too much about lee..since it's been mentioned that he will finish off his all star batman and robin run...i'd say at the least it'll be six years before he's on jla :)

Assuming that there's a kernel pf truth in the JLA story, wouldn't it be more likely that JLA is the mystery book Geoff Johns and Ivan Reis are working on together after Blackest Night? Given that Reis isn't the fastest artist out there, maybe he and Jim Lee are going to be in an artist's rotation, possibly with a third slow-but-good artist? (I feel I should emphasize that this is nothing but speculation, but it seems more probable to me than Geoff and Jim Lee being the sole creative team on anything other than a mini-series or one-shot.)

    Default Doctor Who-tastic!

Hey, Rich! Congrats on the Doctor Who gig! I am a huge fan of the property and can only imagine how gratifying it must be to know that you are going to be given the opportunity to add a little bit to DW lore. Excellent title and cover, too! After a not-so-great opening six issues, IDW has been doing the Doctor proud lately. The Forgotten was a great little nostalgia trip for old-school DW fans and The Whispering Gallery, the recent one-shot by Moore, Reppion, and Templesmith, was great.
