Not really. Scott was always acceptive of Rachel, and never did anything against her. She was the one always whining about his daddy being with another woman and then dressing as her mommy.

I am not sure if Alex accepted her more than Scott did..

But I remember the story with her and Alex in X-Men unlimited, it was a nice story of the uncle and niece

Alex and Rachel never interacted before the Unlimited story. That was really cute, but prior to that they might have met at Scott & Jean's wedding, but never interacted on panel.

Scott never had a lot of problems with Rachel. They had a really cute scene together in X-Men & Alpha Flight 2 where Scott appeared to figure out who Rachel was and Rachel decided she didn't need to tell him, but then Claremont seemed to change his mind and ignored that had ever happened.

Also, Scott spent 10 years in the Askani future with Rachel, regretting that he hadn't been much of a father to her. Rachel saved the life of his son, gave him the chance to raise him, and Scott had pretty much ignored her. But in The Adventures of Cyclops & Phoenix 3, Scott did tell Rachel how much he loved her, how sorry he was for the way he treated her and how glad he was to be her father.

But he didn't act that way when she returned, and Rachel was upset about Emma. While Rachel did act like an immature brat over his relationship with Emma (and it's also understandable why she would be upset - Scott was moving on and accepting that Jean was dead and she wasn't ready to do that yet), Scott also knew that Rachel threw a tantrum about him being married to Maddie and having a baby, yet then went to extremes to save Nathan. He knows how she is, but he never did anything to try to calm the situation between Emma and Rachel.

The Scott in TAoC&P 3 would have done anything to have a second chance to make things right with Rachel and repay her for what she did for him. And when Rachel did return, he didn't seem to make any effort.

Well, Scott was having to take crap from several X-men already about Emma. And while I could see him doing better, Rachel comes back and doesn't even talk to him or tries to see his POV, but rather doesn't want to be called Summers anymore (meaning that she's rejecting him, or at least that's what it would seem) and argues with Emma, while taking (again) her mommy's codename. It's not really an easy situation.

Yeah, that situation does suck, which is why I said she's probably grown closer to Alex now. It's not really Scott's fault ( though one would wonder why he hasn't made a greater effort to get them from the depths of space ) Families are complicated like that especially when they become divided. She did act like a child , but if you can't act like a child in front of your dad then what's the point.

    Exclamation

If Marvel decides to allow Emma to become a Summers by marrying Scott and/or becoming pregnant with his child, I'm going to gag.

Well lets not forget the most important Summers! RUBY SUMMERS!!!! She's the Best!!!! I would like to see when Ruby and Rachel meet They would be the best sisters!!!

Not to mention the experience she has, being over sixty years of age and all.

Even though this isn't Ruby in Emma's arms, I like to think it is.

    Corrupt an X-Men Wish

HellFrost: I wish Jean would come back and was never tied to the Phoenix Force ever again.

Brett P: Granted but then she goes into space......and gets merged with the almighty Griffin Force.

Yeah I remember that.....it's so sad the way their relationship was treated after that.

I mean it's like someone decided Scott had some sort of selective amnesia regarding Rachel.

It would have been nice to have seen them become closer after Jean's "death" rather than antagonistic, but unfortunately Claremont hates Scott; so instead of bonding daddy and daughter we get R'chel "I hate Cyclops" Grey -------> Dino Girl with mommy issues.

They chose to stay in space, and the situation at home is too dangerous for them to waste X-men chasing people that don't want to go to Earth.

I never considered this relationship before.
