    Question Ultimate Universe

There's enough books there to choke a Skrull on.

I don't see any Ultimate Marvel solicitations. I thought the Requiem: Ultimate Spider-Man book was two parts...Is that maybe going to be bi-monthly?

.......good lord, that's a lotta comics (with a bunch at $3.99 - bleh). But this is why Marvel owns market share. Heck, even before I saw this DC's June offerings looks pretty light.

I marked out for 2 things:

    1) MARVEL PETS HANDBOOK.

    2) a trade of Gruenwald's CAPTAIN AMERICA!!!!! (Sure, it's Fighting Chance - the latter end of his run, which wasn't as good as what preceded it - but WHO CARES!)

Sweet, I knew waiting for an Astonishing X-Men omnibus would pay off.

Lotta good looking stuff from Dark Reign too. Seems that most of the Dark Avengers will be getting their own mini-series.

Hmm... no Moon Knight. No X-Men: Legacy. The "final" issue of Immortal Iron Fist. Seems like Marvel will be hacking titles left and right.

$3.99 for X-Men Forever? Damn. Not to mention it's also bi-weekly so here in Canada, I'd be dishing out $10 a month on that book. I think I'll have to make the price hike exception with this title, though. I'm so excited for it!

Irredeemable Ant-Man TPB collecting the full 12 issues? Finally I can read the series that everyone has been telling me to read for a couple years. Very cool!

That's a LOT of Dark Reign. Although I have to roll my eyes at the fourth battle between the New Avengers and the Hood in a year and a half- particularly when he horribly lost all three of the last ones.

    So...

Wow. Now Ultimate books. June blows.

And is it just me, or does Namora on the cover of Agents of Atlas look like a guy?

Can't wait for the DA/UXM crossover. Can't wait to see the other covers.

I'll definitely be getting the Kick-Ass HC. Haven't bothered to pick up any of the issues, just waited out for the trade. I wonder what it'll be like to see the movie first?

I'll say this, though: as much as I love Dark Reign, I hate how many minis there are now, and that most are $4. Do we really need a Mac Gargan mini? I'd rather see one for the Sentry, or Marvel Boy.

Is this Tan's (and Bachalo's) last issue? Or is it the next month? And it's the last month of Young Gun variants for DA.

    Here's what I'll be getting:
THE WONDERFUL WIZARD OF OZ #7 (of 8)
    DARK AVENGERS/UNCANNY X-MEN: UTOPIA
    DARK AVENGERS #6
    NEW AVENGERS #54
    MIGHTY AVENGERS #26
DARK WOLVERINE #75 - (I'll stay with this book after OML, but only if it stays at $3. One $4 Wolverine book is enough.)
    WOLVERINE: ORIGINS #37
DARK REIGN: LETHAL LEGION #1 (of 3) - (I'll have to see a preview of this before I buy it, but I love that Edwards cover!)
DARK REIGN: HAWKEYE #3 (of 5)
DARK REIGN: ZODIAC #1 (of 3)
DARK REIGN: FANTASTIC FOUR #4 (of 5)
    THUNDERBOLTS #133
    SECRET WARRIORS #5
DARK REIGN: YOUNG AVENGERS #2 (of 5)
DARK REIGN: YOUNG AVENGERS #2 (of 5)
MS. MARVEL #40 - (I might pick this up if the book gets better after Carol leaves, and if the new artist is better than the last one)
NEW AVENGERS: THE REUNION #4 (of 4)
    PUNISHER #6
    BLACK PANTHER #5
    INVINCIBLE IRON MAN #14
    DEADPOOL #11
    AGENTS OF ATLAS #6
    AVENGERS/INVADERS #12 (of 12)
    CAPTAIN AMERICA #600
    CAPTAIN BRITAIN AND MI13 #14
CAPTAIN BRITAIN AND MI13 ANNUAL #1
    FANTASTIC FOUR #568
    INCREDIBLE HERCULES #130
    WAR MACHINE #7
THOR: TALES OF ASGARD BY STAN LEE & JACK KIRBY #2 (it'll be nice to get the original issues, especially since it comes with a Coipel cover!)
WAR OF KINGS #4 (of 6)
WAR OF KINGS: ASCENSION #3 (of 4)
    UNCANNY X-MEN #511
DEADPOOL: SUICIDE KINGS #3 (of 5)
    WOLVERINE: WEAPON X #3
WOLVERINE: REVOLVER #1 - (certainly sounds interesting; I'll look at the previews first, though)
    DESTROYER #3 (of 5)
    KICK-ASS PREMIERE HC
ASTONISHING X-MEN OMNIBUS (awesome, an omnibus! glad I didn't pick up any of th trades or hcs before this.)

X-Men Forever holds no interest for me; the first 3 issues were good, not great. I'm not a fan of Claremont's almost prose style. And since this doesn't affect continuity, it doesn't affect me. I'd only pick this up if Jim Lee was back on art. The only people I see buying this were the fans who picked up the original 3 issues when they were released back in the 90s. I just starting reading a couple years ago, so ths doesn't hold any interest for me.

I'd imagine all the Ultimate books are being held up by the nigh-insane delays on ultimatum ~ it's like Loeb is sayin' "You think Millar and Hitch were slow, we'll show you slow!!!!"

yeah, this is such a bizarre vanity project, i really don't even give it 12 issues ~ maybe if they had an artist that ape'd Lees style a bit or something, otherwise i just completely don't see the point...

25 books and a trade, and no Thor #602 in sight (shocker, that). And the Kick-Ass hardcover? I'll believe that when I see it.
This just in: Chris Sprouse has pulled out of Orson Scott Card.

    Lots of good stuff.

    Maybe

    All-New Savage She-Hulk #3
    Cable #15
    Exiles #3
    X-Force #16

Not sure whether I'm interested enough in the "Messiah War" crossover.

    Trades

    Hercules: Prince of Power HC
    Thor Visionaries: Walt Simonson v.3

At last, I can finish Simonson's Thor; I bought the first volume two Decembers ago.

A big month, no doubt; there are a number of books that either double-ship or have accompanying one-shots.
