The Black Cat Appreciation Thread!!

I recently (over the past 8 months) read every Spidey ASM and associated cross-overs (when necessary) from #1 until present.

When Felicia came into the picture, she immediately stood out as one of the most fresh and interesting characters he has ever
run into.

Felicia threw a wrench into Pete's world. She was mysterious, smart, morally ambiguous, sexy, and HOT - she came after him hard and he didn't know how to handle it.

Awesome. Love it. I thoroughly enjoyed this character, especially at the start. I could not wait to see how things were going to turn out with her ...

I would like it better if there was other heroines in the picture to create a conflict between Spider-Man x Black Cat, like the Black Widow or Spider-Woman for example.

The last comic that I picked up and read with black cat in it was Ultimate SPiderman 52. where Elektra and Black cat go at it. thats not the newest comic Ive read with her in it.

I got Scott Campbell to Personally Sign my issue of Spiderman 606 at my local comicbook store a couple years back. He even did a sketch for me.

Black Cat in FD would be a dream come true in all honesty, but I doubt it'll happen, Marvel hates me like that :(

they even wanted to kill her! Black Cat and X-23 are one of the biggest parings I want to see happen in the Marvel U

They wanted to kill her? The original ends of the earth tease had her fighting alongside spidey, maybe slott thought sable would work better with the whole international element to that story or maybe they didn't want her dead

Slott wanted Felicia in the EoE storyline along with Venom. Had he got his wish, the storyline would have very different as it might have stayed in the NYC area instead of an international scale. Besides, Silver Sable and Black Widow were very good choices because neither one has appeared in Spider-Man's world in years. Especially Black Widow of which no Amazing/Spectacular/Sensational Spider-Man has ever expressed an interest with using Natasha as a frequent guest in the same manner as Black Cat. The only exception writer to use Natasha was Stan Lee. And this doesn't include her 8 appearances in Marvel Team-Up.

Also, if Silver Sable was any indication, Black Cat would have been killed off.

That was why Felicia was not available for the Ends of the Earth storyline. The writer for Daredevil wanted to use Felicia for his storyline. If Slott had gotten to use her, Mark Waid would not have gotten to use her. Thus, this might be the reason why Slott decided to use Silver Sable in her place.
