Thanos just turn s around and lets his "waste" spray on the ambushers. While they try to get the crap off of them, Thanos makes his escape

They all gather around Thanos, who seems to be deeply concentrating on what he is doing, seemingly oblivious to their presence. His eyes are closed, they can all tell he's trying to push something out, they figure this is the perfect time to attack. Before they can pounce you see Thanos reach under the toilet and press a small button.

Said button activates some cosmic machine that instantly drains everyones powers and gives them to Thanos. Turns out this group overlooked one thing: Thanos doesn't need to breath or eat to stay alive, and thus has no need to goto the bathroom. It was all a setup to get them to lower their guard. It turns out the entire "bathroom" was just the inside the power swapping machine Thanos had made.

Thanos then uses his newfound powers to cause previously unthinkable amounts of mayhem throughout the multiverse. He eventually gives the powers up, as he can't bring himself to tell people just *how* he got his powers. Out of all his plans, all his failures..in the end he just needed to lure the heroes..into the bathroom.
