The Lion, pretty easily in fact. Much smaller predatory cats have been known to kill Gorillas in the wild (jaguars?).

The Gorilla may have a strength advantage, but without the hunting skills and slashing/ripping capabilities that the heavy cat has, I see him fighting a losing battle.

A lucky solid blow may crack bones on the Lion, however chances are much higher that the big cat will tear its throat out ect.

The Gorilla would rip it apart.

A lion can break the back of a full-grown zebra with one blow of its paw. I don't think a gorilla has any strength advantage. Both have impressive fangs, but the kitty has much more dangerous claws.

    I'm leaning toward Leo.

Now I don't know if that's true. For a grizzly bear, yeah definitely, but a lion???

I'm not sure if that's true seeing how Lion's take down Zebra's and they sometimes get right back up and run off, maybe it could do that with it's claw's, but not just it's paws. And were talking about a Silverback Gorilla, which are very strong...hell, even a little chimp has the strength to rip a persons arms and face off.

With animal brans, bloodlusted, probably the lion. With human intelligence, the gorilla.

Couldn't be jaguars. They're native to only Central and South America. You're probably thinking of a leopard.

A Gorilla unlike a Lion possesses *functional* muscular strength. it has opposable thumbs on both hands and feet(I think). If the gorilla had any brains and knew how to apply it's power, I can easily see it tearing apart the lion's jaw apart effortlessly-ex. King Kong vs. a T-Rex.

Lion's jaw power is pretty pathetic for it's size. Pound for pound, the lion is a big pussy(pun intended) Other than it's weak bite, what is it going to do to the Gorilla???? wrestle it with it's paws? should I laugh???

Other than the high primates, the big snakes also possess functional muscular strength.

    Lion.

It will know that it has been in a fight, but it is bigger and has far more formidable weapons. Note that Lions mane is also a wonderfull defense, it protects the vulnerable neck and throat quite well.

    Also ShadowWarrior:
According to Wikipedia a lion has a "strong bite". I am not sure where you get the idea that they are specifically weak. Could you please post to the contrary or forfeit that claim.
