Just wanted to say I really loved this series of columns. It would be fun to see these guys doing a re-reading "Saga of Swamp Thing" or "Miracleman" column, even if there wasn't an upcoming movie event surrounding it.![]()
Was caused because Dan puts the costume back on. Hollis is the victim of Dan's need to be a hero.
I always thought that Adrian took care of the Comedian personally out of professional courtesy. That and, who else could he count on to get it right?
I think Alan Moore was very clear that Rorschach has a blatant death wish. His style of fighting is almost kamikaze.
I think at the end, he accepts that Veidt's plan will work and bring world peace, but being who he is, he refuses to compromise like Jon and Dan and Laurie. Since he realizes he needs to die, he goes off in the snow back to the owlship even though he knows Dan Locked it!
That Jon showed up to vaporize him was just convenient. So he takes off his mask to show that Rorschach is done. Also because it wouldn't have been as dramatic if you didn't see his face.
Chris makes a cool suggestion. I'd definitely be on board to read more of these. The Dark Knight Returns, Miracleman, Sandman, Sin City -- there are a lot of possibilities out there.
It helps to get a blurb on the back of the book.
Thanks everybody for reading and wanting more. Carr and I have been talking a lot about what's next for ReReading. Some cool ideas have been floated (including those here). We enjoyed the experience enough that you'll likely see us back rereading in one form or another.
Thanks again!
-A!
EDIT: Nevermind.
