Someone needs to tell Hudlin that the BP cartoon is NOT the first adult superhero cartoon starring a black character, the crappy SPAWN cartoon was.

I predict that after it's initial 8 episode run, the BP cartoon will be canceled. Remember, adult primetime superhero cartoons don't do well. This stuff should be aimed at a wide all ages kid audience.

I think it will be similar to Afro S.
8 episode run - DVD release
Another 4-6 episode run - DVD release

Also, I think he meant...noticably back...most folks don't know, or would not be able to tell that Spawn was black.

but he is still wrong, because Afro S, is successful and is staring a black dude (Afro).

how could hudlin forget this guy? Also its bet so what type of ratings do they need to keep it around.

Hi, my name is Peter Parker and I make satanic pacts with demons. .I shall not buy Amazing Spider-Man until the marriage returns. Be a part of the movement.

    Good lord.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to the show. The continuity buff in me was irked by some of the alterations in "Who Is the Black Panther?", but it was a remarkably entertaining read all the same. I'm looking forward to introducing some of my non-comic reading friends to the Panther with it.

    Have a good day.

Anything to blame that dude I guess.

I think it's going to be like Afro S. in terms or success. They have a lot of great talent on this project.

History has shown us that "adult" primetime superhero cartoons don't do well in the ratings, especially on music channels (remember the MAXX and CGI SPIDER-MAN cartoons that aired on MTV).

And AFRO SAMURAI was not a superhero show.

Tell them why you mad X, Tell then why you mad?

Black Panther is NOT a superhero either... how about we wait and see before we just write it off? BP has a lot better talent working on it then MAXX and CGI Spider-man. If it is marketed right, then I will and can work.

IT will be a lot different then them shows, for the reason that it will be graphic.

Honestly thojugh... I think it MIGHT be a mistake to target the cartoon for adults rather than children or teenagers.

I DO think it'll end up a better cartoon much closer to the source material... and on a personal level, that sounds great.

BUT... I think a superhero cartoon needs kids and teenagers on board. Maybe I'm wrong though (hopefully I'm wrong), we'll see.

It cant be much worse than whats down below. Flavor flav was hosting it awfully and was like for t he first time ever we have two different movies rolled up into one. ok anyway it was trash for the most part and if they are letting this be a regular series bet must be trying anything.

Again, Afro S. is not for kids...yet it did well.

It is only slated for 8 episodes to begin with!!!.. in the same way that Afro S. had only 5 episodes for the first season/vol. then another 5 the next season/vol.

Black Panther will be the same way.

This is my problem with Hudlin. He makes entertaining books that often take advantage of the vast Marvel Universe, but his changing things for no real reason bothers me to no ends. I don't know if it's ignorance on his part or he just doesn't care about continuity. All they needed to say was Scarlet Witch's madness affected different parts of the Marvel Universe. Not only could that have solved the perceived continuity problems with Black Panther, Spidey could have gone back to his old status quo without making a deal with "the Devil".
