Did that future include leaving Superman? I hope it did.

I'm a fan of Robinson's work and Golden Age remains one of my all time favorites. His JSA with Johns was awesome and his take on The Shade is legendary.

That said, my Flash geekhood makes me want to correct him on something.

The Shade never said that. In the issue to which he refers, the Rogues throw a party for Captain Cold who beat the system. Those present include Captain Cold, Dr, Alchemy, Weather Wizard (who sold them out in that issue), Heatwave, Dr. Alchemy (who gets wasted, ends up turning Wally's date's brecelet into Platinum) , Trickster (who sent an invite to Wally as a joke thinking he wouldn't come), Golden Glider, Rainbow Raider, Captain Boomerang (who gets really drunk, at this time he was double timing to commit crimes as Mirror Master over at Suicide Squad to avoid getting penalized by Amanda Waller) and strangely, T.O. Morrow an Gentleman Ghost neither of which were really Flash Rogues. (I always suspected they were there because they were listed as having first appeared in Flash comic books. But The G. Ghost appeared against Hawkman, not Flash back when they had back up stories)

Anyway, Shade was not there. It was Captain Cold who said that line Robinson mentioned after the Weather Wizard ruined the party.

Still, Robinson has done wonders with The Shade, who really needs to be used more often.

Starman is my favourite series, and it probably will always stay that way. That said, JR's statement

"There was a painted novel I wanted to do, so theres a little piece of the picture missing, but Jack is no longer in my head and its too difficult to get back there now, so itll never get written.

really saddens me. I always hoped this painted novel would be published one day...
But, of course, I respect this decision.

    Unhappy Starman - no more.

That's kind of a bummer. I'd been hearing things like there were at least two or three more Jack Knight stories left to tell. His Asian/Orient adventure trip or some such thing.

But did you notice he said a number of times that what he did you couldn't do today at DC. I'd rather have 80+ issues, annuals and specials of Starman and The Shade, The Golden Age, Vigilante and a six issue mini-series of the Justice League that are all solid than anything that's half-@$$ed.
