i really, really love Mini Marvels. They are gold dust.
The Mini-Marvels are one of the only reasons I will buy a 3.99 book. If there are none in there, back on the rack it goes. I love your stuff Chris it is an all ages deconstruction of the comic book industry that transcends traditional satire.
However, I cannot take this statement lying down:
Who considers these fan favorites? I consider them yet another reason to never purchase a book by an author with the last name of Loeb. Seriously, the three Hulks get into a crayon fight and in another strip one of them screams "Hulk Splash!" I dearly hope that Audrey is very young, like 9 or 10 years old. Those strips would be very creative for a pre-teen writer. I feel that nepotism is a ridiculous way to get a gig, but kudos kid! Use whatever you can to make a buck like your Dad does! Moreover, The Hulk Red Green & Blue strips are the opposite of what Chris Giarusso does, they are crass attempts at childish humor that do not even deserve a webcomic.Originally Posted by the Article itself

Big difference between SHS and Mini-Marvels: Mini-Marvels is FUNNY (as, indeed, are Eliopoulos' Franklin strips, which got namechecked in the interview). SHS is... not.
MORE MINI-MARVELS....
I like the hulk strips. They are the only good part of the book.
I also really love the Mini-Marvel strips, just light, fun stuff (that the regular MU has been sorely lacking in recent years).
I met Chris at Wizard World Chicago in '05, he's a super nice guy and a pleasure to talk to. I had him do two commission pieces for me, Rom vs. Wolverine and Superman vs. Popeye (as a gift for my LCS guy). I loved 'em!
I'll be sure to grab these digests when I see them...
"and the new 'Super Hero Squad' strips that folks have been enjoying.”
Who are these "folks"? SHS figures are great. SHS comics..not so much.
I met Chris at this year's NYCC. Very nice and cool guy. He drew me a sketch of Bob (from Cable/Deadpool) and Karl (from Marvel Adventures: The Avengers):
Here's hoping for more Mini-Marvels!
We Are One!
The GIANT-SIZE Traitor Game: War Of The Exiles!
Now Playing!
Yeah, I do not care for the end of the interview that makes it sound like the Mini Marvels are done, to be replaced by the SHS.
I love the Mini Marvels! MAKE MORE MINI MARVELS MARVEL!
i loved the SI digest. totally awesome. just posted a podcast interview with Chris G over on my website and it was great to find out more about how these cartoons came together. i wish Marvel would have Chris do more stuff!!! i know the first Mini Marvels digest sold really well, so hopefully this one does even better!
