I find this interesting to look at a character through the creator's interpretation. Fans tend to believe a fictional continuity where a creator's run follows from another creator's but I have noticed that modern writers have threads and themes of their own and that their runs have starting points and end points.

Nice articles, so when can we expect All Star Superman in hardcover so I can give more of my money to DC? I'm not re-reading all 12 issues until I get my hands on the hardcover collection.

Thanks again Tim for your thoughts on Grant and his work. All three articles very well written and informative. It particularly made me dig out and re-read the DC1,000,000 story which I never had all that much time for, but has now become more interesting and relevant to GM's Superman lore. Any chance you're going to look at his more recent Batman work (R.I.P., Black Glove, etc)?

Also wondering if there'll be a follow up to your first book on Grant. I have to admit I have gotten great value for money from the first one using it as a reading guide to go back over my GM collection. Very interested to hear your thought on the New X-Men in particular as in my eyes it's the most mainstream I've ever seen GM go.

I don't know if the threads running through a particular creators' takes generally have an endpoint, but I would agree that it's being realized more and more that comic creators, like all artists, tend to explore similar themes in varying ways.
