My reasons for giving Doom Patrol a chance just doubled. I loved the JLI series, and while I don't expect things to be the same (Different characters, different times) if even a third of that magic sparks into the Metal Men back stories, it'll be totally worth it . I'm not as familiar with the Doom Patrol or Metal Men as I could be, but heck, in the eighties, I wasn't as familiar with many of the JLI until I got introduced to them either...and I loved em.
Also, for some reason, I am curious about this Hero Squared book; it's almost as if subliminal messages were embedded in the interview...

My favorite creative team of all time is back on a monthly DC comic.
Giffen/DeMatteis/Maguire. And I don't even like the Metal men, but it will be my favorite comic book just because of the creative team.![]()
I can't wait.
In a world where more and more of my purchases are Trades and Hardcovers, I just added another monthly book to my pull list. I'm really looking forward to Doom/Metal.
Come to think of it, "Doom Metal" might make a good villain group for either team to face ;)

Doom Metal had better be fronted by Nathan Explosion.
Also, I didn't think I could get more excited about the new Doom Patrol. Happy to be proven wrong.
Great news, i shall certainly be picking up this book when it comes out.
So no Copper?
