It's kind of a shame that it got canceled right as the book got somewhat good. But you can't go 20 mediocre issues with crappy sales and expect to stay around. The original Spider-Girl was a lot better in terms of quality.
But ASG just dragged things out and had boring subplots, and made May look like a broken housewife with her attitude towards Gene until she finally got a backbone. I hated that.
Boy, I'd love to see a Black Knight series, the medieval Black Knight, that is. And a Viking Prince series also.
I would loved to see Tom work with Thunderstrike again, I mean that would just be some story in the light of Thor's return.![]()
Just to nitpick, this...
"the longest running female-driven series in the company’s history"
...is incorrect. Millie the Model ran for 207 issues from 1945 to 1973.
Okay it should have stated in "MODERN-day Comics history," right Matt?
Or "female-driven superhero series".
Or "Longest running series starring a female character that is the offspring of an established Marvel hero that takes place in an alternate timeline/ future."
Y'know, if you want to be specific....
