Default Would a horror anthology Spider-Man title in B/W work?

Was just thinking in which way a new Limited or Ongoing Spider-Man title could be launched.

I think a horror anthology Spider-Man title in B/W would work very well.

The stories a would be a mix of eerie stories and Hardcore graphic moments (a bit like Walking Dead)

Two thinks would be essential to this title do work.
First of all,Spider-Man schould be using the Black Costume and the title schould be only made in Black and white. And by doing this, with cheaper paper as well, that would fit the tone.

Marvel could as well do a very cheap price in the title, like 1.50$.
Since to do this would be cheaper since the paper was cheaper and no colors in the in story art.

There is potential for this in my opinion.

And there is lots of villians that could be used in the title.

    -Vermin.
    -Venom.
    -Mysterio.
    -Lizard.
    -DemoGoblin.
    -Jack o Lantern.
    -Carnage.
    -Vulture.
    -Carrion.

    So would this work?
    Pull List:Uncanny Avengers,Avengers,Superior Spider-Man,Daredevil,All New X-Men,Hawkeye,Captain America,Thor:God of Thunder,Swamp Thing,Morbius,Thunderbolts,Iron Man,Fatale.

I think you can write horror stories using Spidey's rogues, but not using Spidey himself. Proper horror stories don't have funny banter, and tend to have a large amount of heroic fatalities.
'The marquis. Well, you know, to be honest, he seems a little bit dodgy to me.'
'Mm,' she agreed. 'He's a little bit dodgy in the same way that rats are a little bit covered in fur."

LOL! Who knows? maybe it could succeed in an Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein sort of way!

Spider-Man:Reign,Kraven Last Hunt can be considered horror stories by many.

And they stared Spider-Man,so it can be done.

I think it could work for a mini in a Shaun of the Dead kind of way, but I can't see any kind of ongoing.

I was thinking more in the style of House of Mystery/Tomb of Dracula not suposed to be funny stories.

Just some plain old scary stories set in the Spider-Man universe.

Meh. He's not a horror type of guy. Too much of a goodie two-shoes. I bet Ben Reilly would do well in a horror book, though!

But this is not suposed to reflect Spider-Man character, would be just some eerie stories which hapens with Spider-Man.

Ben Reilly would work fine as a ghost haunting Spider-Man.
Trying to get revenge for what hapened with him in the last stories of Spider Clone Saga.

That would be brilliant. Ghost Spider-Man. Your could have an issue where he kicks the Spider-God's ass as well.

Bruce Campbell doesn't have banter in the Evil Dead? In fact there's a whole wiki category dedicated to comedy horror films.

And if you wanted to go the 'proper horror' route there's always something like the current Spider-Man Noir. Some of the stuff in there has already been pretty horrifying and Peter doesn't banter much, but it's still Spider-Man.

The Great Weaver is the guy I am thinking of. The Spider-God from the Other. Did he die or something?

Have not read the Spider-Man Noir yet. But is not Noir stories diferent from Horror stories??

I think that category in Wiki need to be checked again.

Evil Dead 1 scared the shit out of me.
I was only a child when i whatched it but barely made it through the movie.
That first movie of the trilogy is not a comedy/horror,only the two next parts of the trilogy are comedy/Horror.

    Dont remember,mate.

Never liked much the Other story.
It was all a waste of pages in Spider-Man comics in my opinion.
Dont remember much of the story.
