I am curious enough to buy the first issue.

What?Flamebird, following Infinite Crisis, exists in an alternate future timeline of the DC Universe.

"Youre going to see a lot more of Ursa."
Please tell me that's not because of who's mom she is.
First Chris Kent bothered a number of fans because he appeared to be a replacement for Conner Kent (and whom Superman embraced enthusiastically without much worry over losing Conner). Now we have these teases that New Nightwing might be Conner, and once again, Chris is there instead?
That's an awfully big handicap to give this risky new era for Action Comics. Even the best of stories shouldn't have to overcome that. I wonder how much different our introduction to these characters might have been if Rucka had been able to handle it himself.
And I wonder if, once again, I'm way off-base on what this means.
Was the Flamebird/alternate timeline thing a reference to the "Titans of Tomorrow--Today" arc in Teen Titans? I thought she apeared, but that would make it more likely she was hanging around the present-day DCU as well. (Although that story did show Possible Future Robin having cloned some girls as well as guys.)
Was disappointed to hear my favorite hero was leaving my favorite book but now I'm am intrigued and will keep Action Comics on my pull list. Especially if Mon-El is going to be involved in some way...whoo-hoo!!!
I'm guessing Nightwing is a grown up Chris Kent.
Flamebird is probably Matrix Supergirl.
Well this bites! I want Greg back writing Batman!
EDITl: I would be even happier if Greg took over Supergirl. He wrote a real kick ass interpretation of her!

Am I the only one who thinks the Nightwing costume is hideous?
Yep. The rest of us are going for something more like "impractical" or even "frilly," so going as far as "hideous" puts you in a league of your own.
Although, having it officially declared as "hideous" will help me adjust to the fact that this little creep is Chris instead of Conner.
I'm interested, but I'm also quite interested in what JAmes Robinson might be doing over in Superman. Is that title going to focus mainly on Mon-El's return to the DCU and the new Guardian?
Locke & Key, Saga, Thief of Thieves
As someone relatively new to the Superman-verse, I was totally uninterested in Nightwing and Flamebirg in "New Krypton" - just one of the elements that didn't appeal to me.
However, it's Rucka, and I like that he's not going to put us through an identity-guessing goose chase, so I'll give this a shot at least.
I hope its Connor Kent and Linda Danvers!
There's something about the idea of Tim getting out from under all of the Bat darkness to go play with the Superpeople that I really like. That picture and, to a lesser extent, most of the other New Nightwing images do make the kid look more like Tim than Conner. Still, I think Tim is doomed to a gloomy Red Robin future in the Batbooks.
I don't see a particular resemblance between Cassie and Flamebird. (Uh-oh, maybe that's why we see more of Ursa in this arc! Unless she's Superwoman.)
