First Time printed in TPB, Mimic's reappearance after the events of Marvel Comics Presents Wolverine v1 # 54-61 (Also available in TPB)
Mimic regains his powers and becomes an agent of Onslaught.
Being a guy who can take the powers of mutants around him, he seemed like a natural threat to the X-Men, and was for some time in the comics. When you have ten or so mutants on screen using their powers, not using Mimic in at least one of those frays seems like a waste.
While not a mutant by birth, he gained powers through science nonetheless, the film version could claim the chemicals that give him his powers actually just jumpstarted his latent ability. It'd be interesting to see the X-Men try to take on a guy who is essentially a one-man team.
