Sorry, but I have zero interest in a comic adaption of something I can just pop into the DVD player.

Yeah, I don't really get this, particularly if, as it seems, they're doing pretty straightforward adaptations.
And sure, they have to pick two of the most popular episodes; it might be interesting if they took an obscure episode that didn't quite work and did something more creative, expanding on stuff comics can do well without having to worry about TV production budgets.
I would much rather see them put effort into new stories rather than adaptations, even if it means not being in official continuity.
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
And either must die at the hand of the other for neither can live while the other survives
Wow, $4 for a straight adaptation... who on earth is going to bother buying this?

I have to agree. It's in my DVD player now so nope not gonna buy it i will continue to get the regular series
