Default Whatever Happened to the Caped Crusader Preview

I think preview is definitely pushing it...

    http://www.newsarama.com/comics/1208...rt-Batman.html

Still just adds to my excitement about this. Kubert's art looks great as per usual.

Perhaps the most interesting bit is the bit at the bottom -

'Be sure to check back first thing on Wednesday (December 24th) morning, as we unveil something that will keep you up at nights in regards to the coming year for Batman'.

Anyone got any idea what this is?

In Wizard this month Dan Didio says that in addition to the one shots that we already know about there are going to be one shots for Owlman, Huntress, Riddler, Man-Bat and Ra's al Ghul and there is going to be another on going series that ties in with BFTC. Maybe this will be the news revealed on Xmas eve.

It has to be bigger news than telling us about one shots for Manbat and Riddler.

I think it could be another big named creator on a bat related title.

At least we can hope so.

    :)

If I wanted to be cynical, I'd say, "What? He only has one page done?" or "They haven't started inking it yet?"

Maybe the big news is the Morrison / Quitely team - that hasn't been officially announced yet, has it? After All-Star Superman's success, i suppose that's a pretty big deal.

Hm. A special little Christmas present? You guys sure know how to keep us in suspense (though, of course they'd master it. It's all they ever do!).

And a big LOL to Selina nonchalantly parking her "Catmobile" (or was it the "Kitty Car"?) outside of the bar.

That's cool nice find. Hope it lives upto the hype

In that same edition of Wizard Didio said that Morrison was returning to Batman - whether this means Batman or simply a Batman comic it is hard to tell.

    Snazzy. Kubert's pencils look astounding.

That Riddler page is pretty tight.

And sums up Riddler pretty well. He's a genius, and like Morrison dubbed ... a "Pop Criminal" ... but he was only driven to killing, the very few times he did, out of desperation. For him it was the chase. The puzzles. The labyrinths. The game. And he's one of the only "moderately sane" villains in Gotham smart enough to do it on a level worthy of a Batman rogue, even if he's only PG-13 compared to Joker or Two-Face's R ratings.

    Thumbs down

I guess this is a fantasy/non-canon story because Catwoman never wore that outfit in the modern DCU---it was wiped out by the first Crisis.
