I like that Lois has fallen for Clark Kent, knowing nothing about his secret.

I like the younger Kents, and that Jonathan dies before he becomes Superman (the movies did that too of course). Jonathan taught him how to be a man, but nobody can teach him how to be a Superman. The closest Supes should have to father figure is Jor El's program.

The meteor shower was a good idea, although the show did seriously go overboard with the amount of K-freaks.

I really dig what they've done with Doomsday so far, especially his origin as Zod's creation.

Braniac being from Krypton. The animated series did this too. I always liked it better than the Collector from Colu story.

I think they've actually implied that Clark worries about what he might accidentally do a woman if he attempts sex.

The meteor shower was perfect, because there is no way a space ship could land in America's heartland without being detected...unless its entry was covered up by somehting else, say a meteor show.
I like the Ma and Pa Kent being younger...never understood them being old people when they found Clark...it would be harder for old people to raise a toddler with Clark's powers.
Lionel Luthor, never knew anything about him in the comics...loved him on the show...the way he treated Lex was great and explained why Lex turned out the way he did.

I personally love Smallville and think I think it has added alot to the Superman mythology. Some of the things that I like most about the show:

    1. Lex's gradual slip into evil.

    2. Chloe. I really like her character and how they hooked her up with Jimmy Olsen.

    3. I also really like all the DC character cameos, it shows some interesting angles as to how Superman met the other heroes.

Yes, he does. He was shown in the Countdown origin for Lex Luthor. I got teh vibe Lex killed him.

I especially agree with #2 because of the fact that Jimmy actually gets a love interest he can keep and that he marries.

I also like that Jimmy Olsen has been given so much to do, whereas he's usually just a nerdy type who annoys Clark & Lois. He still does the latter, but to a lesser extent, and he's more essential to the stories.

Chloe is like...one of the characters of the decade. Twert for Allison Mack, Chloe wouldn't be so awesome.

Allison Mack as Chloe, just an incredibly rich and important addition to the Superman mythos. I would rate her contribution as the greatest TV/movie created aspect that has ever entered the comic mythos, with Harley Quinn coming up right after Chloe.

I 100% agree. The character development has been amazing, and I'm glad that she's remained in the stories, whereas other characters have died. The fact that her importance level is so high in the show and not diminished is fantastic.

Actually, I never liked Smallville liquid metal Brainiac. I do like that he can transform into a human form and that he gets to know Kal-El secretly without Clark actually knowing who he is though.

I actually loved Dr. Swann's character and the concept of the Veritas group. It lends to the idea that Jor-El originally intended to send Kal-El to a scientist, which makes sense to me.

I also love the character of Lionel Luthor. Great addition to the mythos. I like how Lionel is responsible for influencing the El's choice causing them to choose the Kent's over the Swann's. I didn't like how the Vertas story ended with the location to the fortress. I thought this was a little lack luster.

I don't know. I think that if there was a meteor shower, the meteors would actually draw attention to the area Kal-El's ship crashed. I mean, if I'm not mistaken meteors, even the one's that aren't radioactive, can be sold for lots of money. And a shower that does as much destruction as the one depicted on Smallville would be major news.

I like the way Smallville calls Lex Luthor's company Luthor Corp and not Lex Corp. It makes sense that a company be named after your last name not your first name. Perhaps they could say Lex Luthor changes the name of the company out of vanity.

I also like Cloe, but they need to explain how she fits into the mythos. Specifically why she was erased from history. Maybe they can say it was the result of an Crisis. Maybe the Crisis added her or erased her from the timeline.

I also loved Lex Luthor. I loved how they didn't make him a black and white character.

The "no costume" aspect is probably the best thing. But he should be wearing a mask.

Smallville should be called "Lexville" because Rosenbaum's Lex was the best part of the show. Lex's interactions with Clark and Lionel are classic.

Until recently, I didn't think Smallville's origin for Lex should be imported to the comics. But, on final analysis, I think Smallville's general origin for Lex should mostly be Lex's comic origin.

So, Smallville's take on Lex has greatly improved the mythology IMHO.

Smallville's Lex is the best portrayal of Lex I've ever seen. Even better than Clancy Brown's STAS Lex.
