Default What elements of the Brand New Day Spider-Man might be used outside the comics?

Now that we're an year into the post-One More Day status quo, I'm curious as to what elements of the current Spider-Man books you guys think have a good chance of being adopted in other media representations of the franchise (IE- TV shows, video games, movies, etc.)

The two that come to mind for me...

The Inner Demons- Mister Negative's henchman from Slott's first arc. Because video games need visually distinctive henchmen for the superhero to beat up.

Vin Gonzalez- A roommate who hates Spider-Man, worships J Jonah Jameson and works as a detective for the NYPD (giving him a reason to be involved in Spider-Man's superhero conflicts). Plus, he gives an excuse to add a prominent minority character to the supporting cast. I could easily see him appearing in one of the next Spider-Man movies, especially considering how Peter's only male friend died.
    Sincerely,
    Thomas Mets

Vin Gonzalez does have a lot of potential, so I could easily see him being worked into the films. I'm not sure how tuned in to the current status quo Sam Raimi is, but now that you've mentioned it, Mets, I'd really like to see this happen.

Vin's a possibility, but not a strong one to my mind. Paperdoll would be an easy character to translate to Sensational Spider-Man, though.

Nice catch! And I'm pretty sure she's starred in about fifteen different episodes of Smallville, so she's got the connections!

Screwball would also be easy to translate to other mediums.

You're giving this rubbish far too much credit. Mackie had about TWO years on board two Spidey titles, and none of his crap made it to other mediums. Hell, none of JMS's stuff will ever make it to television or video games either. The Clone Saga's strength over all three is that it managed to get Ben Reily, an evil clone, and Miles Warren involved at the tail-end of the FOX series.

Sorry Mets, but BND will NEVER be what you want it to be for the franchise, and that's a good thing. It'll be forgotten about just like the last ten years worth of shit, it has no staying power

Both could work, but what I find most intriguing is that the entire "BND Setting" is actually much closer to how Spidey is portrayed in other media and platforms already anyway. Which to me was one of the driving factors to bring Spidey back to the central core of his character to begin with, so there really is much more parity now then there was a year ago.

I don't know about this. It's still too early, to my mind, to say whether the stuff being produced right now will have any lasting effect. Certainly some of the elements being used can be translated to other mediums without trouble.

No, she was the thrill-seeking internet broadcasting thief from Martin's first arc.

Which is why I think Ben Reilly is a viable character even for those who hated the Clone Saga. There are always ways to flesh out characters and concepts in a universal way even if they fell during an era one didn't particuarly like.

Wasn't Mackie on one Spider-Man title or another for most of the nineties? I thought he was the longest serving writer on the titles apart from Lee himself.

Vin could easily translate to other mediums. I could also see Carlie Cooper making the cut.
