    Default Comic Book Organizer Website?

Please let me apologize if this topic is in an other thread. I tried a search and got only a blank Mozilla window that said 'done' but was lying.

I was shown a great website that helps you organize your collection and create pull lists and want/need lists. I promptly forgot the name of that site and would love to find it again. It was a free site.

Any one know of a site that matches that description...vague as it is...

    Thanks!

Comicbookdb.com allows you to save comics you own. Facebook.com also has an application, which I like, that does it to as well as some advanced features.

I personally just create my own list using MySQL and PHP so I can customize it.

i use ComicBase, which is an off-line comic database that tracks your collection (including weekly price updates).

i'm a little leery of putting a list of (semi) valuable property out on the web for (potentially) nefarious persons to browse.

Well, the 'value' of a comic collection is highly debatable...especially if its largely from the 90s.

Nonetheless, I am interested in what a nefarious person might be able to do with the info regarding your comic collection and why a nefarious type might target my collection specifically.

Anyone ever heard of anything bad coming from Having your collection information online?

mine isn't largely from the '90s.

and i've not heard of anything bad coming from having one's collection online.

but i'm wary of putting personal information (which includes listings of my possesions, traceable to my identity and location through my IP/service provider) onto the interwebs.

if it's something you wish to keep private, don't put it online.

but that's just me; i'm more paranoid than a lot of people.

    your mileage may vary.

The sneaky bastards hack into your account and change your info. Pretty soon, you have 100 copies of Power Pack #1 in your online collection.
