Thomas Jane quit because it looked so lousy. They recast the role with a guy who looks like the guy who tried to kill Dolph Lundgren at the end of the first Punisher movie. Delay after delay. They bounced the director during post-production. You couldn't do a poorer job producing and publicizing a movie if you tried.
