X-Poster of the Year 2003--- the best there is at what i do ---
The greatest Marvel Comics story in history has come to an end! And what an end it is. I was gonna post a recap thread... darn!! I'll post it here then. This recap does it no justice. You have to read it for yourself. But here it is anyway:
The Wasp is going out of control and about to blow herself and everyone else up. Thor whips up a tornado to save everyone. Janet dies, but Thor promises to avenge her.
The Skrull Queen is still alive. All the heroes and villains look pissed. Wolverine runs at her and gets ready to slice and dice, but someone else beats him to it.
So Norman Osborn gets the credit for saving the day while all the networks record it, even though Wolverine was an inch away from decapitating her. Ha!
Iron Man leads some heroes into space and destroys what’s left of the Skrull Armada. However, Iron Man takes control of one particular ship and brings it down to Earth…
Inside are the real Spider-Woman, Hank Pym, the Invisible Woman, Jarvis, and the other hostages the Skrulls captured. They’re all alive!!
Everyone except Ms. Marvel gives Spider-Woman the cold shoulder. No one knows what to think, considering they just fought the Skrull Queen who impersonated Spider-Woman for all those months.
Iron Man and Jarvis reconnect, but Jessica Jones realizes that she just left her baby with a Skrull impersonator and flies off. The Jarvis Skrull and her baby are nowhere to be found.
President Barack Obama decides that Tony Stark and S.H.I.E.L.D. did a horrible job of preventing this disaster and shuts them down. So who does Obama award all of Stark's former power to? It's none other than...
Osborn is clearly thrilled. The President also decides to remove weapons and tech from Stark Enterprises from use in the military. All in all, this is a pretty bad day for Tony Stark.
Osborn is in Avengers Tower, which now belongs to him. He takes the elevator down to a secret meeting with Dr. Doom, Emma Frost, Loki, Namor, and the Hood. Osborn tells them that “it’s a new day” and explains how things are going to be from now on…
THE END
Also, Mockingbird is in the ship. She comes down and makes out with Clint. No questions or anything to how she is alive yet, but yeah. It's been years!
READ SNARKED!
What I disliked about this issue was the presentation.
After seven issues of very drawn out storytelling, all happening in the moment, we get a final issue told in flashback.
It felt so terribly anti-climactic.

Man, I was really hoping Clint would just go on the warpath for now on. But Mockingbird coming back is a pleasant surprise, though I wonder what the back story behind it is.
Well at least things got worse right?![]()
Heroes suck now a days unless they have a bad side like Emma, Cyclops, Wolverine and his x force. Mutants are the downfall of MU heroism as it was. I dig it.
I actually like the MU villains more then the MU heroes now .
I look forward to dark reign or w/e.
I'm pretty happy with SI even though this ending it seems to be a flashback tale.
SHIELD and Stark were overpowered. I'm glad they fell. I hope Stark falls more
And oh yeah Elektra is alive ;D huge yay there for me.

I am a big IM fan, so I am sad that Stark had such a crappy day...but the ending is certainly awesome.
I think it definitely makes for a much more interesting Marvel Universe. And... Norman Osborn is awesome.
I've read SI:8 and all i can say after reading it twice in one sitting is.
WHAT A COP-OUT
What an absolute cop-out refering to the entire event in past-tense, completely ignoring everything that should've tied into it. I'm soo incredibly dissapointed in this. I expected more from Bendis, a LOT more. SI:8 is meant to be a climax of an entire storyline. I always respected Bendis as a writer, not as a man, but i at least respected his work. But i don't like where this is going AT ALL.
I have the feeling he's going to flush the last 3 years of carefully crafted character development from Emma Frost and revert her back to her old self. Where the hell did Doom come from? Last we saw he was in a shield holding bay.
OK OK back to the comic at hand. Killing Jan Pym like that was unacceptable, neither was Hank's reaction. Ugh, just so...ugh.
I need to sit down >.<
