Ahahah, okay, he's probably gonna stay being bottom rung, but at least we can rest assured that, in situations where the Shinpaku Alliance barely wins, Ukita's probably gonna be the "barely" that pushes them over the edge, like in their DoD match. Also, it might just be the Medaka Box fan in me, but I totally approve of him telling Yuka to confess to him. She might not have a chance but its better that she gets it out of the way so she can move on, and it might push Miu into getting more serious about attracting him as well.

I think the Double Date refers to the Ukita/Kisara/company AND to the secret Kenichi/Ryuuto meeting.

As far as im concerned Ukita is getting the best girl in the series anyway, doesn't matter if he's bottom billing in any fights so long as when its over he has Kisara in his corner. That is to say, Kisara is the cutest of the 3 original females in Shinpaku, (Miu, Kisara, Freya). Speaking of relationships, why purpose push so many people on Kenichi and Miu? It seems so unrealistic, Takeda is probably the most handsome guy in that group with Siegfried coming up second, and Kenichi 3rd, dude is basically ignoring the fact that not only has he allowed Thor to bag several different cuties, but that Freya is still single, That's insane. Kenichi has Miu, Renka and Yuka. Ukita's has Kisara, and Freya has mentioned that she likes guys like him, "I like'em big." So why is Takeda even bothering with this incentive love rivalry for Miu with Kenichi, especially when we know Ryuuto already has the hots for Miu?

Someone should make a chart with all the paramour interest in this series.

Well, even putting aside the whole part about complaining about things in this manga not being "realistic," we only really follow Kenichi and Miu and the people falling for them do so because they're fairly attractive (understatement in Miu's case, in-universe) and do totally badass and charismatic things in front of all of their gained paramours. It's totally possible that Takeda and Siegried have their own unseen fan clubs like Natsu (who probably ranks above Kenichi in universe as well) does. As for why Takeda tries for Miu, he just seems to like her. Logic doesn't really enter into it, and if he's willing to fight Kenichi (in a mostly friendly way) over the right to confess to her, he probably couldn't care less about what Ryuuto wants.

In Freya's case, she just doesn't seem to find anyone that she'd like other than Ukita and maybe Thor, but she seems to ship Kisara with the former so she doesn't bother trying for herself.

When I said realistic, i didn't mean in the case of fighting or anything I just meant in the sense of them finding love interest, and im sure Takeda and Sieg have their fangirls, but in Takeda's case, it just doesn't seem right that he'd being fixated on Miu when he knows his good friend Kenichi is pursuing that. Also I always took as Takeda's way of pushing Kenichi toward being more forward with his intentions toward Miu, as a rival who will try and steal her if he isn't persistent in his attempts to win her uh affections.

I think that most fangirls Siegfired might have would be weirded out by him. Which would make it even more adorable if he could find one that sticks around despite him being so... eccentric. And wasn't it implied at soe point that Takeda might have a thing for Renka?

I really enjoyed seeing Kenichi's family again. His father is way under-used and always a delight to see.

Why doesn't it seem right? Miu's an attractive, friendly martial artist whose surrogate family gave Takeda his meaning in life back. I see no reason why he wouldn't be attracted to her. Yeah, Kenichi might like her but Takeda has feelings too. It's certainly not the most laudable thing in the world but sometimes it happens. When he and Kenichi fought at Shiba's gym, he feigned that he was just saying that to get Kenichi riled up but it was pretty clear that he has a feelings for Miu.

Personally I think Sieg is largely assexual for the most part but if he was to go out with anyone it would be Nijima because he's utterly devoted to him to the point of infatuation.

Also I support Freya/Thor because big dudes need more love.

Just realized we haven't seen Li Raichi in awhile, I wonder if she'll still be the awesome beast she was when she first appeared? I wonder if she could beat Rimi? Speed wise Rimi was faster, but Raichi was so sharp. Were her and her grandfather not considered Yami/Yomi higher ups? Wasn't she auditioning for a place in Yomi?

...but Rimi jealous of Miu? Or at least wondering if she has cause to be jealous? I can't believe I didn't see it coming.

Besides, if she somehow wins then Ukita's best friend has a chance at the girl of his dreams!
