Steven: Did you watch The Shield final season? I know you've mentioned the show in the past, but not recently. I ask because this was one of my favorite shows, but I thought the final season was terrible and barely watchable. It was like reading the last 20 or so issues of Cerebus: Sticking with it just to see how it turns out because I've already invested so much time in it.

I think the show really went off the rails with that idiotic "blackmail box," which they mentioned five million times per episode it seemed. It felt like they lost the characters, which was what made the show so great, and instead focused too much on the plot maneuverings and that damned box.

I did like the final fates of all the characters in the very last episode, but getting there was a rough ride.

I'm really interested in what your take is on it, though. And, of course, anyone else who was/is a fan.
