Marcos Martin is absolutely bloody amazing.
Vulture in 590? Joy!!
Cyclops ad portas
Literally JUST finished reading 578. Spectacular issue. ASM is on a roll.
Cool! A new Vulture story coming! I've got a good feeling that Waid might use a lot of the classic villains in his stories.
From now on we're poison to you Spider-Man. That's why we call ourselves... VENOM!!!
I gotta say -- I was going to hold off on getting any more of ASM until Uncle Rog's work, but these issues with the Shocker look great, and I've enjoyed Mark Waid's work in the past. I may have to give this story a bash.
Observe, Orient, Decide, Act
Now, there's nothing about that one page of art that I can criticize.
I'll read it when Marvel calls it "Spiderman:The Ultimate Loss" instead of "Brand New Day"
"You would defend her! Marrying my sister didn't make you any more human than a digital watch!"
Quicksilver to the Vision regarding Jocasta in Avengers 175 (Korvac Saga).
Okay, the art got me intrigued about this story, and I have always liked Mark Waid's work, so I went out and picked this issue up and I have to say I thought it was pretty darn good.
Observe, Orient, Decide, Act
ASM is actually improving on an issue-by-issue basis now.
Each member of the Brain Trust (ugh, still don't like that term!) is bringing something different to the table, so to speak, and, since the beginning of NWTD, the book is getting considerably better in my opinion.
I'm looking forward to the return of both Roger Stern and Joe Kelly and I'm also hoping that Peter David may write a story or two now that She-Hulk's unfortunately been cancelled.
R.I.P. Don't pee in the (Dead)pool, November 2007 - January 2013
I've said this elsewhere, but I really think the book would benefit by dropping Slott. Can't believe I'm saying that, but his take on the character has just left me cold (which is surprising given how much I enjoyed Spider-Man/Human Torch: I'm With Stoopid).
