I'm game for REBELS. A new ongoing has an uphill battle these days to make it onto my pull list, since I have so many I half even don't feel like reading, but

    * the chance to see some Dox assery after all these years is too tempting to pass up on
    * Bedard has been fairly mediocre in my experience but definitely not outright *bad*, and he's had a knack for actually doing research and respecting continuity which most writers these days don't bother with. Maybe this will be his breakout title where he'll actually win me over, since he gets to launch it from #1 instead of playing band-aid on somebody else's book.

REBELS actually grabbed my attention as well, which is strange considering I haven't been a huge fan of the past L.E.G.I.O.N. stuff (though I did read it for a little bit when it first came out). The artwork and characters look really good here, so I think I may give it a chance.

Aside from that, the only other thing I'll likely pick up is the Gaiman Batman 2-parter.

REBELS could be really good I think. If you read Bedard's run on the Negation series he wrote over at Crossgen you can see he really handles the cosmic stuff pretty good. If he can make the new REBELS as good as he did Negation then this book will be great.

I am really starting to think that the Legion are going to be the new stars of Adventure Comics. Reprinting their first apperance in a zero issue just seems to reinforce that idea.

Comics I would like to get at this stage are:
    * Adventure Comics #0 - Wow. They're brinigng back this old title and it looks like they're using it to launch a new LoSH. If the new writer continues to be not-Geoff Johns I'll definitely give this a try.
    * The Mighty
    * REBELS - Another LoSH ongoing? This is getting strange..

Unfortunately if I pick up (and keep) all the titles I want to in January, I will only be able to afford one of these ongoings, and that's assuming I don't pick up any ongoings from Marvel in February.

So we'll have to wait and see which books I actually get, if any.

I'm ready for the Adventure Comics #0 and R.E.B.E.L.S. comic books!

Wow! Two new ongoing series, that's a great news for the 2009 debut!

I think that I will profoundly modify my monthly comic books list to come.
More and more DC titles, I will love it!

Four cancellations and no interesting titles to replace them. Oh well, guess I'll stick with Jonah Hex.

Actually R.E.B.E.L.S. (and L.E.G.I.O.N.) have very little to do with the Legion of Super-Heroes. They were more of a complement to the Green Lantern Corps and Darkstars and crossed over with them, but never crossed over with the LoSH.

There were a few tenuous links like M'Onel has been a member of L.E.G.I.O.N. and LoSH-2, but these links are no bigger than, say, those between the JLA and Titans.

It's a modern-day (as in, not 31st century future) space police organization. Connections to the LoSH are tenuous.

*sigh* So I guess Jaime will be playing pinochle with Ryan Choi and Jason Rusch in character limbo until the next time DC needs to litter a crossover with bodies.

    Stupid, stupid DC creature.

Thanks :) That makes a bit more sense.

    Owlman And The Outsiders? Okay!

REBELS? Yes!! Although the art isn't to my liking.

    The Mighty? Could be fun!

It's interesting that Jerry Ordway is coming on as co-writer for JSA after Alex Ross. Black Adam and Isis should be good.

Batman being written by Grant Morrison, Dennis O'Neil and then Neil Gaiman. That is a pretty good line up.
