I would disagree, to the extent that the scene showed very little, and what it showed was people using their abilities to give pleasure to each other, which is part of what loving is, and not particularly worse than the Beast mentioning the bliss of a three-way encounter way back in the 1970s Avengers, when the comic was really for all ages.

I think there has been no lack of morbidity and excessively graphic language over the last 10 years in comics that, if not always all age, certainly had a tradition of being read by young adults, such as the main Marvel books, compared to which I don't remember that scene being particularly inappropriate.

Quicksilver and Crystal in bed in X-Factor comes to mind. Scott and phoenix in New Mexico. Cap and Wanda was just shocking. Same with Hawkeye and Wasp. Thing and Ms. Marvel was just hot.....NOT!

So....erotic, but not sexual? So you're looking for some weird fetish perhaps? O.o

No only the ones still living in their mums basement, and they know who they are.

and mgs, you can blame me all you like this thread is my attempt to encourage a healthy discussion regarding something that doesn't crop up on these boards that often but does crop up in comics a lot.

Alan Moore knows how to write eroticicism well: Swamp Thing #34 and Promethea #10 come to mind.

Gilbert Hernandez has also captured eroticism very well in his 'Palomar' stories, especially in the relationship between Heraclito and Carmen.

When did this happen? I've never heard of this.

Speaking of '70s Marvel, Marvel Presents #7 featured what was allegedly the first on-panel sex scene in a Code-approved comic.

Don't have the Swamp Thing issue but I know the story, the best thing about that (like most of Moore's writing) is it works outside the panel. The scene ( I assume your referring to the scene between Abigail and Swamp Thing?) was in its own odd way beautiful but also caused a stir among the critics. I still don't think the world is ready for 'plant sex'.

Almost every issue of GHOST begged the question as to why an avowed man-hater dressed up in an outfit that accentuated her male-pleasing assets.

One, agreed, the above examples are funny. Two I have...

Just a panel that made you smile in that unique way.

Just re-read Invincible Iron Man and the panel where Pepper does a little thong reveal and spells Lamborghini. That's such a little shudder moment.

Since I don't know why you'd have a problem with overtly sexual or pornographic images in comics and you are only looking for ONE panel, and I don't know the image you are talking about, but can picture what it could look like.....I have determined that what you are looking for is not even eroticism, but titillation. A titillating moment in comics is actually what you are looking for, not eroticism. And yes, I believe both subjects have been talked about extensively throughout this board over the years.

There's the scene from the PAD/Perez 'Future Imperfect' story, where, after the Maestro breaks the Hulk's neck, he allows him to rehab at his palace to show that he's not that bad of a guy and sends in about a dozen half-nekkid honeys to seduce the Hulk who can't do a thing about it but yell, "NNNOOOooooo!!!"
    Nick Fury's to-do list:

    1) Save the world.
    2) Punch Norman in the face.
    3) Have a beer.

Sir Tim Drake wants the facts ma'am:

When did this happen? I've never heard of this.
The Hank & Jan bit's from Avengers, Vol. 3, #71

I'm not sure about the Beast "threeway", although he did constantly make reference to dating multiple women, often at the same time, during that #150-200 era.
