Eh, I can generally get to grips with the controls after a while. FF13 confused me for as bit, though I think that was due to so much happening on the screen during a battle that I started to panic.

Well, the lack of freedom of choice in how to interact with the world specifically bothers me.

Even when the controls themselves become comfortable, I still wonder how the game would have played if I could have messed with the control scheme.

At least, I used to wonder until I found something that let me remap keyboard keys and mouse input to a controller in the shape of my favorite gamepad (the playstation gamepad, for anyone curious).

What do you do when Wii bowling isn't fun anymore? My Wii turned into a Netflix player until I got a Roku.
Gaming is a lazy, sit on the couch hobby. I play Dance Central sometimes but in general I just want to sit down, relax, and enjoy what I am playing, not flail my arms around and what not.
Yet there is so much worry about "child hood obesity!" Well when I was a kid if my parents thought I was sitting on my ass too long they tossed me out the door and I played some basketball, tag, or whatever. My meals did not come floating in ranch dressing with a 2 liter of Mountain Dew to drink. Trying to put some mild exercise into gaming is not the answer.

When a proper game (by proper game I don't mean Let's Dance 9) implements motion control well into the gameplay, more people will be on board.

Untill that happens it will be rightly viewed as a gimmick used to try and get people not interested in video games on board.

They know where the money is, don't worry. But yeah, let's make games for lazy nerds, now that's how we are going to be successful !!

Because they sold a billion wiis and a billion stupid accesaries for the wii and i think sold the most consoles in the last cycle.
Nintendos problem with wii u was they launched a system that has the same graphical quality of a system that came out years ago, when the two companies who made the systems are preparing new ones. And it's gimmick is the controller has a screen.
